How fantastic. I would love to visit Canada.

On Ancestry I found that my g,ma and g,pa sailed on the Mauretania of Cunard White Star to New York and then coached up to Canada where her sister lived.
That was in 1949. I wonder how long their journey took.

I think you will get there a little quicker.

Our journey to Barbados took long enough!!.

I'm off 2 weeks tomorrow, to Canada - can't wait! :-D

It's a tour, run by an Australian company, so their should be lots of Aussies on it - they are great company! Better than the Brits on holiday! :-D :-D

Yes we are off again in about 5 weeks. We do enjoy our hols and do lots of things we wouldn't do at home.

Like talking to each other ROFLMAO :-D :-D :-D

GinN Report 9 Aug 2013 19:40

Barb, we've seen it all and done it all in spadeloads! Even on holiday we seem to turn in quite early. Only time we have late nights is when we go to a gig or the theatre.
Have you got any more holidays coming up soon? :-)

BarbinSGlos Report 9 Aug 2013 19:33

It's the same here and the g.kids think we're letting life pass us by. lol

Little do they know of all our late nights or rather early mornings back home. The "do's " we went to and the drinking and dancing and nightclubs. They don't think we ever had a "life"

Anyway my OH can't stay awake for long during the day let alone going out in the evening ha ha. :-D

GinN Report 9 Aug 2013 19:23

That's right, Barb - we're like a pair of Billy No Mates! :-(

But it is Friday night - maybe they are all getting ready for hot dates, the pub, or in Mersey's case, her "holibobs"!
We don't go out much on Fridays and Saturdays - just like a meal and drink at home (Saddos that we are!) :-D :-D

BarbinSGlos Report 9 Aug 2013 19:16

GiN, do you think it was something we said. We are on our todd here

Verrrry quiet and then it will all go off so quick I won't be able to keep up :-D :-D :-D :-D

GinN

GinN Report 9 Aug 2013 19:06

Flashing! That was it! Well, Mersey would know that! :-D ;-)

I think Stand in Saturday sounds perfect - if everyone else agrees? :-)

BarbinSGlos

BarbinSGlos Report 9 Aug 2013 19:02

Errol said it meant flashing :-S

How about Stand In Saturday ?

Didn't have a postcard at hand ;-)

GinN

GinN Report 9 Aug 2013 18:57

No, Barb, I've never heard of it either - what did they say it meant - streaking?

Everybody get their thinking caps on for a title for tomorrow, beginning with S.

Answers on a postcard please! :-D :-D

BarbinSGlos

BarbinSGlos Report 9 Aug 2013 18:53

Well I have never heard of it before. Am I the only one ? :-S

GinN

GinN Report 9 Aug 2013 18:50

Probably from Dermot, or maybe even Errol! :-D :-D

BarbinSGlos

BarbinSGlos Report 9 Aug 2013 18:49

I still want to know where Mersey got todays title from LOL

GinN

GinN Report 9 Aug 2013 18:40

Very nice Barb, though I'm afraid I didn't make it from scratch - used a sauce from Mr. Sainsbury's! :-D :-D ;-)

BarbinSGlos

BarbinSGlos Report 9 Aug 2013 18:31

How was your carbonara GiN :-) :-)

GinN

GinN Report 9 Aug 2013 18:28

Don't worry, we'll all keep things going, we can't let the lass down - first one up posts the thread! Hardest part will be concocting the titles - dictionaries at the ready! :-D :-D

BarbinSGlos

BarbinSGlos Report 9 Aug 2013 18:16
