I'm still in the spare room. :-(

He's not sleeping very well, still got a fever, because he wakes up soaking wet & moves to the other side of the bed, a few times every night. Which means........ every morning I have to strip the bed, and wash & dry the mattress overlay, the pillows & the pillow protectors, then remake the bed. The weather is nice, so no problem getting everything dry, but if the rain comes there's no way I can get the mattress overlay dry!

The laundry is two floors under the bedroom. I feel like I've been climbing stairs for weeks!

By the time he's fit & healthy again I'll be worn out :-(

Pleased he is home Scozz, and why do they think you would not look after him. You look after yourself too, while it has been painful for your OH it has been stressful for you. :-) <3

Golf on Wednesday - he must be feeling better <3

LadyScozz

LadyScozz Report 11 Aug 2013 05:49

He's feeling much better.

This afternoon I heard noises........ snip, snip, crunch, bang......... he was in the garden! Enough energy to snip snip, but not enough energy to pick up the snipped! I can pick up the little bits, but not tree branches.

He plans to play golf on Wednesday.

I can sympathise with you, those machines the tree surgeons use to grind up trees are very noisy.

Last year we had quite a large tree which was about 20 yards from my front door, it had become dangerous due to damage during strong winds. They felled it and then they started using the machine to grind it into wood chips, for four hours the racket drove me crazy :-(

My best regards to you and hubby <3

LadyScozz Report 8 Aug 2013 01:48

Yesterday morning workmen starting taking down a big tree on the block down the hill from us. They took off the branches & put them in a machine to grind them up. NOISY! It's a huge tree, at least as high as a 3 storey building.

They came back this morning.

Himself got up at 8am, happy to be home, walking around and whistling! Whistling lasted while he had puff......... but he's happy.

The chainsaws started again at 9am...... the grinding started soon after. What a racket.

Himself has gone to bed for a morning nap (it's 10.45am)... I don't think he's gonna get much sleep.

Jeeeez, it sounds like they're grinding rocks.

Ah well, it will be quiet at the beach this afternoon.

:-D

Glasow Lass - no point in hiding his shoes, he'd get around barefoot!

Wonderful news that your hubby is back home once again. I hope you both can relax together and get your breathe back. Remember to snatch a little "me time" and rest when hubby rests too after such a worrying and stressful time. Take care now.

Glad to hear the good news.

I would hide all of his shoes too!

The car keys are hidden (in my knickers drawer).

I can't hide the golf clubs, because they are on the back of a gulf buggy, parked in the buggy shed at the golf club! That's why the car keys are in my knicker drawer.

I'll be sleeping in the spare room for a few nights, so that he can get a decent sleep. He'll probably wake up every few hours, expecting a nurse with medication.

I've sent messages to his golf buddies & our friends, 'phone calls welcome, but please not after 8pm and not too early in the morning.

It's so good to have him at home, even listening to him cough!

<3

Thankyou again to all of you, for your wonderful support. :-D

LadyScozz - wonderful news, you have been through such a stressful time recently, hopefully he will soon be back to his old-self again, but in the meantime hide the golf clubs and take care of yourself as well as hubby <3 <3 <3

Scozz that's really great what a worry you've had thank goodness it's over and wishing him to be bouncing back as soon as possible.
Really envious of you being able to go to the beach and see the whales what a wonderful sight it must be hope the weather is good for you to go ....Enjoy! :-D <3

<3 He's Home!! <3

A friend took me to the hospital this afternoon, and we brought him home.

He was waiting for us, outside in the garden!

The first thing he wanted when we got home was a decent coffee.

He's now on the sofa, blankets over him, watching tv & snoozing.

The weather has been beautiful this week, if it's still nice tomorrow we might go for a gentle stroll on the beach. The whales are migrating, so we'll take a blanket & sit on the sand for a while & watch for them.

What does he want for dinner? Fish & chips!

It's lovely to have him back, but he will probably get antsy by the weekend, I'll have to force him to sit still.

'phone rang five minutes ago

"Hello, it's Jane from Dr N's office, is your husband there?"

Me "No, he's in hospital"

silence

Me "He's been in hospital since last Wednesday. I suppose you're wondering why he hasn't shown up for his appointment this morning?"

The doctor is a very busy man, going between the hospital & his rooms (which are next door to the hospital), I guess he doesn't have time to keep his staff up to date.

:-D

I'm off now, to iron my nurse's uniform.............
