Oh, GP! Pease pudding - I love it! Nowhere in Norfolk sells it, the Philistines, and tinned stuff is pretty poor. I have made it once or twice, but you should have seen the state of me and the kitchen when I used a stick blender on it! :-0 :-0 :-D :-D

GL - I really must start using my steam mop, as have new grey tiles in the kitchen, as well as a lot of laminate elsewhere. I'm sure it will be easy, once I give it a go! :-) :-)

Hello, Barbs - yes, I did enjoy The Mill, it's authentic and well acted - what a grim life those apprentices had! Even Oliver Twist got a bowl for his porridge.

Chucking it down here, though I did manage to get the washing done before it started. :-D :-D

Hi GinN. I never really warmed to the young girl that played the lesbian in Corrie, but I thought she plays her part well in this.

Yes how rough was life like back then. As OH keeps saying " the kids today don't know " etc.

Littlelegs at least you haven't got to iron it yet ;-)

GinN

GinN Report 29 Jul 2013 15:08

Oooh! you weren't fast enough, littlelegs! Though I must admit it was my OH that noticed it was raining and brought it in!

Thundering now!! :-0

Just having a horrendous storm and hail. The street outside is flooded and so is our patio. Some house plants still outside too :-(

HUH Barbs....
I normally iron on a Sunday evening whilst watching telly.
For the last 8 weeks, ironing was postponed until later in the week.
I am usually good at multi tasking but have been watching that french thing on channel4.. The Returned and last night was the Finale
I cannot iron and read the subtitles at the same time so I watched the Grand Finale ( turns out to be end of season 1) and recorded The Mill at 9pm.

That's 8 hours of quality ironing time that I will never get back!
Plan to watch The Mill later... looking forward to it AND I can iron at the same time
.( LOLOL GIN.... I've got a steam generated iron too)

Would you keep it down please?
I am attempting to practice my tightrope walking and it is taking all my powers of concentration.

BarbinSGlos

BarbinSGlos Report 29 Jul 2013 15:38

I usually iron while watching a film and remember years and years ago I used to do it whilst listening to the Afternoon Theatre play on the radio at 3pm.

I'm not very good with subtitles so haven't watched that.

littlelegs

Is it one single tightrope or two, parallel ones eRRol?

I'm just visualising a four legged animal on a tightrope.
How does a sheep work his legs on a tightrope?
