and I've stayed indoors today cos it's to hot for me :-(

Well, littlelegs, I'm a positive giant at 5 ft 3/4 in.!
I do believe, though, that if my legs were in proportion to the rest of me, I'd be at least 5ft 5 !

Good afternoon all, guess I missed morning roll call afraid to say, Sorreeee to mine host. :-(
Not long since got back in from my 2nd walkies of the day and boy has it been hot here again.
I`ve lost over 2 stone in the last 8 weeks but I seem to have come to a standstill now :-( probably due to all these liquids I have been partaking of during this scorching hot weather we`re getting here in Notts.
Hope no ones been seriously sunburnt...... (or, stung by insects, Ann in mind :-D )

Now you grannies, I want you to keep an eye on these inexperienced young mothers there are a few of them who dont seem to realize the dangers of this hot weather and burning sun on babies and small children.
If you have to advise them please do so for the sake of the children. You may get some mouth from some of the young mothers, but at least you will have tried.
I`ve already told my Daughter to be wary with my 3 grandchildren but she`s already clued up bless her.

Anyway about this insect that died as a result of biting /stinging Ann !
Were the last rites administered to the poor little creature?

There is a Possible way (Other than the Rack) try placing both feet into a Growbag and water well. :-D :-D :-D

I think there is something in the Tower of London that mey help your predicament :-D :-D :-D Its called "The Rack" good for stretching so I,m told. :-D :-D :-D :-\ Ps. nothing wrong with having a few glugs of iced Vino on a Hot Day. :-) or even a Cold one. ;-)

Hello, Mersey and everybody! It's SO hot here, in fact I may get grumpy quite soon, cos that's what hot weather does to me if it goes on for long!
AnnCardiff mentioned the summer of '76 - I was pregnant all through that summer, it was torture, no wonder I didn't repeat the exercise!

could do will a class that makes you taller

but i think the only thing that will make me taller is wearing high healed shoe and if i wear them i walk around as tho i have been on the bottle all day

Good afternoon Mersey and everyone. Half way though our first week hosting French student. She is working so hard and I can see some positive progress. She is studying the piano and also Chinese (not with me by the way), she is extremely polite, and such a talented young lady, but above all she is delightful so loving, helpful and interested in everything English!

I am just getting ready for my keep-fit class and she said she would like to come too, this is a class for women 50+, so I am not too sure sure what she will make of us. We are having a BBQ this evening, and visiting Henley-in-Arden tomorrow for posh garden party. Have a good day everyone, stay cool............ It has been YEARS since I said that.
