Stray Kitten we have oak floor in the hall and against my OH's better judgement not to use it on the floor ........ I did :-P but I hate to say it has left 2 or 3 big streaks on it so be carful...OH doesn't see so well so has not noticed :-D My one was £99 reduced to £39 about two yrs ago
Sylvia that's really interesting that you never wear outdoor shoes inside though think most people here will kick them off when inside I try if I go to someone's house to remove shoes if it's raining or muddy but must admit don't do so if it's nice outside :-|

Kay???? Report 16 Jul 2013 20:52

Steam cleaner wouldnt be without mine,,,,,,,brilliant its a Polti and has a carpet glide

I have a hand held steamer with bits to clean loo, windows(rubbish) and oven BBQ,,,,it wasnt expensive,,,,

I'd like one of the new X5,,,,,they look really good.....

Nolls I would prefer to do own quilt, tried the king before and it broke the line ,plus washing it in the bath as its winter weight ,weighs a ton,

the place I took it washes them in big machines (not dry clean)and they come back ok and smell fresh,,,,,,and in a store bag...cost me £7,,,,,,

Edit,,,,,,,,the X5 has steam heat control as does the new Vax,

StrayKitten

StrayKitten Report 16 Jul 2013 20:52

oh no! dont say that, it says you can use them on wood flooring, n if i break it ill be in trouble hahahaha

Nolls because it was contextually relevant to what had just been said

Kay said...

"Would be suprised how grubby carpets can get with children even not wearing shoes indoors,,,,"

hence me quoting what NanaSue said.

StrayKitten I don't follow anyone - just add to threads that interest me in one way or another.

CupCakes of course NanaSue exists!!!
(incidentally I find your PM - which came up with your other boardname - referring to halal very offensive)

StrayKitten,,

Try looking in at Bid Tv and Price drop tv..Steam machines are going for around £20 to £30.

Just google Pricedrop tvand Bid tv.
I bought mine off Price drop and it only cost me £14-99 + p & p.

Edit... mine has differnt tools on it for steam cleaning Cooker, sinks, baths, windows and even the grout.
Wouldn't be without it.

Huh?

Incidentally, CupCakes said that there is no such person as NanaSue even though she was using that boardname up until the other day.

Very strange indeed but not overly important.

To clarify ............

In case, anyone else does not realise, many of us do check membership numbers .......... it is to see if an unfamiliar or new name on the boards is a new member ............

.................... despite what some people say or believe, many of us do tailor our responses to a new vs old member
