well my day started off really well and early for a change - then around lunch time a florist arrived with a massive bouquet - already in water - my lovely friend sent them to me - I was with her when her husband died last week and they were thank you - lovely!!

Then I thought, right, I'll mow the lawn, it's looking a tad on the rough side - started on the smaller lawn, first run down when I had a dreadful shock - didn't know what it was at first, then realised I had been stung on the ankle and had run the mower over a nest of wasps/hornets - god knows what - they all went ballistic !!The pain was excruciating to say the least - that was around 1:30 and it's still hurting - have put all sorts on it - then all the skin around the area peeled off - now I'm just telling you this in case you don't hear from me ever again :-( :-( :-D :-D

please don't start a sympathy thread - just send money in plain brown envelopes - lots of it

Worried Wend (well, you are getting on a bit, someone needs to worry 'bout you <3)

by the way, forgot to mention, had to go to Curry's with my other pal tonight and we popped across to Frankie and Benny's for meal - love that place and particularly love the music - all my era - we knew every song they played - word for word - when suddenly Jill said - shut your mouth, don't let people know that we know all the words :-D Nearly choked on my pasta :-D

Henceforth I wish to be known as Saint Errol the Wasp Slayer.

We could have an annual Saint Errol's Day when we all dress up in suitable attire and take to town centres in marauding groups in search of Wetherspoons and keenly priced ale whilst I, the leader of all Errols, take the fair Ann and protect her from invasive tiny buzzy pesky thingies

eRRolSheep

eRRolSheep Report 16 Jul 2013 23:30

Are you sure you weren't bitten by a gnat??

AnnCardiff

AnnCardiff Report 17 Jul 2013 00:00

a gnat!!!!! twas nmuch bigger than a gnat, :-( :-( :-(

I have been googling and seen all kinds of stingy crawly things and I still don't have a flippin' clue what it was - there was thousands of them - slight exaggeration there - dozens :-D

I shall go to bed dreaming of Errol the Wasp Slayer - will it be a public holiday?
