Lady S can't open your thread ... I read a few years ago that when they were building the Skye bridge the found that Av** cream/perfume? kept the midgies away and all the labourers were issued with some. They might have been grubby and sweaty but by golly they smelt good :-D :-D |

We did the same, Barbra, moving to D&G 9 years ago. Couldn't agree more about the area, one of the few places where you don't worry about locking your door when you go to the shop and the midges aren't really too bad! |

Robert Oh's brother would have left about 1944 sister 1949 and youngest sister 1958 a family affair! Good school though. I went to Craiglockhart Convent. Think some of our paths must have crossed at some point (that wasn't you falling over in Princes Street in 1950 was it :-D) |

Spent many a night at the Palais de Dance and also played bingo there after it became a bingo hall, not sure what it is now, I know that there was an proposal to build a casino on the site, but I think that got turned down. |

I was born in England - but started school in Scotland - Lossiemouth to be precise, then we moved to Arbroath, then back to Lossie, before moving to Cornwall. |

Scozz I think OH & I have our Edin. accent but we have friends down here from Glasgow and their accent is very broad well only half an hour with them and I find I am talking like they are hubby gets mad at me "here we go again thinks she's from Glasgow" but it is the easiest accent to mimic can't do the Yorkshire one at all ;-) |
