I was reminded of some Scottish words we used to use when I was a child (I don't know if these words are still used)

Here's one ~ clype

Which reminded me of....

TellTaleTit
Yer Mammy cannae knit
Yer Daddy cannae go to bed
Withoot a dummytit

:-D

I can't get that out of my head!!!!!!

Ha Ha... 2 of my girls like yoga.
A few weeks ago, they went to a class with a new yoga teacher.
They came home in hysterical giggles.
There was almost no exercise involved and most of the 1hr session was spent resting on the floor... each person was given a blanket to wrap themselves in.
Youngest has OCD and refused to touch the blankie LOL

Nolls ~ try 'phoning some pilates instructors, they may have classes to suit you. Yoga maybe?

I make sure I'm near a chair if I need something to climb up from the floor!

Our class is fun. The instructor call us "The Almost-Geriatric Delinquent Class"... I'm not geriatric yet.... not sure about the delinquent :-D

would love to Pilates but don't think would get down on the floor and definitely not be able to get up again :-D :-D

When I'm well I do pilates. Not the full-on class, but a gentle one. When I'm not well I can't move very well, so there's no point in going! I have a weird condition, the doc told me it's lupus, I'm not so sure.

We had an older gentleman join us for about six months. He said his aim was to get flexible enough to put his socks on! He did so, and stopped coming to class. Silly man, even an hour a week would be good for him.

Ev'ry road thro' life is a long, long road,
Fill'd with joys and sorrows too,
As you journey on how your heart will yearn,
for the things most dear to you.
With wealth and love 'tis so
but onward we must go.

Keep right on to the end of the road, keep right on to the end,
Tho' the way be long, let your heart be strong, keep right on round the bend.
Tho' you're tired and weary still journey on, till you come to your happy abode,
Where all you love you've been dreaming of will be there at the end of the road.

With a big stout heart to a long steep hill,
We may get there with a smile,
With a good kind thought and an end in view,
We may cut short many a mile.
So let courage ev'ry day,
Be your guiding star alway.

Keep right on to the end of the road, keep right on to the end,
Tho' the way be long, let your heart be strong, keep right on round the bend.
Tho' you're tired and weary still journey on, till you come to your happy abode,
Where all you love you've been dreaming of will be there at the end of the road.

LadyScozz - I know exactly where you are coming from, when I get up of a morning I have to be very careful as my balance is not very good, takes me a good half hour before I can start moving around - if I ever fall I hope it is near one of the alarm pull cords :-(

I know what you mean OFIG.... about getting dressed, not about being a stripper!

I can't stand on one leg........ so I sit on the bed, put socks on, then put on pants/trousers, stand up & pull up pants!

Well James,
I'm taking a 5 minute rest from my kitchen cleaning.
So far I've tackled the cooker. and just two cupboards. ( one wall and one base)
This alone has produced 2 bin bags full of out of date stuff!

I used to be a domestic goddess, but I'm also blaming you lot for my demise .
