Thankyou everyone <3
I can't sleep! As I said on my thread about OH, the bed is too big & empty without him ~ and it's a BIG king size bed.
He really is my soul mate. I don't feel whole when he's not around.
I'll see him tomorrow (change that to today, cos it's just after 1.00am here), and hopefully he will be home on Friday afternoon.

Just a Wee Poem. Cuddle Doon
The bairnies cuddle doon at nicht Wi muckle faught and din. "Oh try an' sleep, ye waukrife rogues, Your faither's comin' in." They niver heed a word I speak, I try tae gie a froon, But aye I hap' them up an' cry "Oh, bairnies, cuddle doon!"
Wee Jamie wi' the curly heid, He aye sleeps next the wa' Bangs up and cries, "I want a piece!" The rascal starts them a'. I rin and fetch them pieces, drinks, They stop a wee the soun', Then draw the blankets up an' cry, "Noo, weanies, cuddle doon."
But ere five minutes gang, wee Rab Cries oot frae neath the claes, "Mither, mak' Tam gie ower at aince, He's kittlin' wi' his taes." The mischief in that Tam for tricks, He'd bother half the toon, But aye I hap them up an' cry, "Oh, bairnies, cuddle doon!"
At length they hear their faither's fit An' as he steeks the door, They turn their faces tae the wa' An Tam pretends tae snore. "Hae a' the weans been gude?" he asks, As he pits aff his shoon. "The bairnies, John, are in their beds An' lang since cuddled doon!"
An' just afore we bed oorsel's We look at oor wee lambs, Tam has his airm roun' wee Rab's neck An Rab his airm roun' Tam's. I lift wee Jamie up the bed An as I straik each croon, I whisper till my heart fills up: "Oh, bairnies, cuddle doon!"
The bairnies cuddle doon at nicht Wi' mirth that's dear tae me. But soon the big warl's cark an' care Will quiten doon their glee. Yet come what will to ilka ane, May He who rules aboon, Aye whisper, though their pows be bald: "Oh, bairnies, cuddle doon!"
Meaning of unusual words: muckle faught=lots of fighting waukrife=wakeful hap'=wrap aye=always bairnies=children a piece=bread sandwich weanies=small children gie ower=stop kittlin=tickling steek=closes shoon=shoes straik=stroke cark=fret ilka=each and every aboon=above pows=heads

My brother and I "sang" for friends at a party a few years ago, shocked the lot of them.
It was their fault! They asked for something Scottish.
I started.....
Open yer door and I'll **** in yer lobby
brother joined in
I've done it before and I'll do it again.
Oh but you'll no **** there
Oh but I will *** there
and so on and so on and so on
Anyone else sing that when their parents weren't around?
:-D

This poem by Charles Nicol we can all probably identify with ;-)
Dear Auld Scotland
Scotland my native land so fair Thy hills an' mountains I adore, Thy scenery is grand an' rare, An' brings to min' the days of yore.
To gaze upon the sparkling fountains An' see the waters flowing there Then upon the lofty mountains, Few kingdoms can with thee compare.
Where is the country you can name, Can boast of such warriors brave, Who fought to gain their country fame From the cradle to the grave.
Such men as Wallace brave an' true, An' Bruce the hero of Bannockburn, Aye, an' the brave Black Douglas too, For these auld Scotland oft did mourn.
Oh, Scotland fair. Land of the free, Where we've got the Thistle so dear, Likewise the Lily, the Hawthorn Tree, An' the sparkling water so clear.
An' tho' I yet may be from home, However far that it may be, Thro' all the places that I roam, Scotland will still be dear to me.

Scozz from what I remember she has Scottish blood in her veins. Just Googled it in 1713 Andrew Presley married Elsbeth Leg on 27/8/1713 in Lonmay Church Aberdeenshire their son also Andrew fled Lonmay in 1745 at the start of the Jacobite Rebellion.... It seems also that the Mother also had a Scottish line .
