At last....weighed in today and lost 3lbs the weather has cooled down a bit and I think my body isn't holding on to so much water. I now feel feel a bit more encouraged to keep going.
I think that's still only 8lbs in 7 weeks

LYNDA. it is quite obvious to me that to step up your weight loss you simply HAVE to cut out these holidays. :-( :-D :-D :-D :-D. Only joking of course.
You are doing well so go on holiday and enjoy.
Shelley about 13 years ago I used to teach weight management based on low fat and exercise. I was the right weight for my height then and had to maintain it as every week I had to stand before a class of over weight people and say something like if I can do it so can you. Also if I had been very overweight I don't think I would have had many people in my class!! This is what kept me on track and why attending a class or group every week ( whether you have gained or lost) keeps you motivated.
There aren't any clubs here so I and 3 friends all get weighed each week at my house. We record our weight and body fat percentage and generally chivvy each other along.
I only did a month at the gym. I will go back in the winter but there was no air conditioning and we have had temperatures in the high 30's. it was too much for me.
Good luck with the barbie, have a great weekend.
To everyone else ...well done and hope you all have a loss next weigh in :-)

Morning Ladies :-D
Another pound and a half off at last nights weigh in, pleased with that, it's the half I put on last week, plus another pound, so I am keeping to the pound a week off.
I've just looked on a chart for my BMI,and it says I'm not not far off of being normal weight, whatever normal is :-S. I've just found my book from when I was with slimming World in 2011, I started at the same weight, I was this time I joined, and I'm half a stone off what my target weight was that I got to then. I'm going to aim for that weight and see how I feel, If I carry on with the pound a week half a stone is only 7 weeks away, but I do I have a holiday in between. Although I've lost weight more slowly this time, I'm happy with that, and so pleased I started dieting again, because I feel so much better for it.
The lady at our club, who has lost 9 stone 3lbs, was voted as our clubs slimmer of the year, so was put through to the regional finals, which am very pleased to say she won, next step is to see if she can through to the National final, where she will go in to be Slimmer of the year. She is a lovely lady, and a big inspiration to a lot of the bigger ladies, they can see what they can achieve if they persevere.
Have a good week everyone, and put down that chocolate ;-)

Hi everyone, well done. Ann you must be chuffed to bits and welcome Suzanne.
I have got back to what I was before both holidays. 10stone 10lbs so a whole stone gone since the start of May. :-D I am also five foot 4 and this is the lowest I have been for 15 years or so. I was 9stone 10lbs before the last offspring and was a size 14 then, I'm still a size 14 :-S but have been squashed into a 16 and 14s for several years.
I'm getting back to basics and want to loose another 7lbs and see what I look like then. :-D
I am feeling better with a lot of aches and pains gone. I have a butternut squash soup on the go at the moment. I had a bit of a fight chopping up the squash to roast but managed to get there without loosing any fingers! Its roasting with garlic at the moment and smells scrummy. I will report back after the taste test.

I read a book called French Women Don't Get Fat. A lot of it I just skimmed through as it was posh recipes and stuff. But basically it said that they live by the word 'compensate'.
'If I pig out today then tomorrow I will cut right back". " if I eat that big cream cake I will walk tomorrow and not use the car". Etc
Actually in a simpler way the idea is good. I recommend cutting down, BEFORE an event not after because leaving it to after it is easy not to bother.
For instance if you are going to a party or wedding Saturaday cut down through the week before you go also you may not eat so much on the Saturday because you don't want to put back what you've just lost by cutting back though the week.
This is the advice from one who is struggling with one pound a week weight loss. The weather here has finally cooled down a bit and I think I may make two pounds this week :-D

When you're happy with yourself in how you look, it makes you feel better all round.
The lady at our club who has lost 9stone 3lbs said it has changed her life completely, she took lots of medication, she now has stopped some tablets, as her aches and pains have gone, and feels she doesn't need to take some other tablets, so will go back to the doctors again to see what he says. She looks completely different to the person who joined, and she is so much more confident with herself.
It's all to do with being happy with yourself , and we all seem quite a happy bunch don't we :-D
Good luck in the week ahead :-D

Well done Shelley, spend, spend, spend :-D
Good for you Lynda, I think the last time I was a size 12 I was probably aged 12. I would look like a stick insect if I was that small but it would be a good reason to eat where as at the moment I sometimes eat for no reason at all :-(

I got back into my size 12 favourite jeans today, just a little tight, but wearable well chuffed with that :-D
To be honest I'm not that bothered about what I weigh, as long as I feel right with how my clothes look, I went down to a size 10 last time I dieted, it didn't suit me, if I can lose a few more pounds, so the jeans look I'll be happy.
High 5's back to you sister Hayley :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D
