Yep Shelley, loads of hills and steps just a bit short on will power.

Just remember to let be know when you're arriving :-D

I'm still struggling with five pounds, I just can't seem to get motivated again. It's been quite cold and very wet lately, just like England, and I'm sitting too much and eating too much :-(

I have been weighing myself at home once a week for a while now, over the last few weeks I have gained and lost randomly. I have not significantly changed my eating so was feeling slightly demotivated. At Yoga class this morning the teacher weighed us with newly calibrated scales and I was five lbs under my current home weight. This included my Yoga clothes. This would put me to my goal weight from 2011, I think some new scales are needed,

Keep up the good work.

Preferably the same make and model as those owned by your yoga teacher ;-)

Well done to you, it certainly isn't easy.

Hello Wendy, mine are very old WW scales and clearly need to be replaced. I did mention to OH that I thought they were inconsistent , so I was delighted this morning. One lady is going to WW at the moment and said her weight was the same today. Just looking on the internet for the best scales to get.

Mine give your body fat percentage as well which is quite good I think they have come down a lot in price now.. You can also store up to 4 peoples height details which you need for doing the fat percentage. Mine are Tanita.

Tenerife Sun Report 1 Feb 2014 10:57

Shelly, I still have my Christmas four pounds and can't seem to shift it. I have very good days and very bad days. I need to be somewhere in between every day :-D

Congratulations on stopping smoking. I really do admire you for doing this, it must be so hard to do. My husband couldn't stop, he tried several times but never succeeded. He would have done anything for me but he just couldn't stop smoking although he did cut down. He died two years ago of throat cancer. Xx

Happy new year everyone :-D I have lapsed and two pounds over my starting weight at S/W which I rejoined at the end of december.

So may I rejoin you all again?

I am starting from scratch with extra easy plan. Weigh in is on a Thursday or Saturday depending on work commitments.

Cooper Report 9 Feb 2014 07:24

Hi everyone :-D

I think you are right DS, well done for staying the same this week.

I ended up 2lbs heavier than my starting weight, lots of distractions including christmas etc but life has settled down here now so onwards and upwards :-D

I weiged in two days early at class due to work commitments, I normally have a morning weigh and this week was an evening, and lost one and a half pounds. I was really pleased. Im still at S/W the class leader and people in group are really nice, its a new group but same leader. Much better class dynamics as well.

I tried a desert which is free on extra easy. Sugar free jelly mixed with fat free natural yougurt and any superfree fruit. Its really nice and hits the spot for a sweet fix.

good luck for the week

Hello everyone :-D

I've not been on GR for a good few weeks, been away on holiday a couple of times, and have been doing all sorts.

As for the weight, well, I've been up and down since Christmas, couple of pounds off, couple of pounds on, but seeing as I've been away, and eating out a lot, I'm very pleased that I'm more or less, about the same weight as I was in December. Now the nights are getting lighter, and I feel more "alive" I'm now focussed into getting back on track. We've had a couple of lovely days, weather wise, so I'm thinking of summer, and want to get into summer clothes as soon as possible, so need them to fit :-0

Hope you're all well, and in the slimming zone :-D

Hello Lynda. I wondered where you were. I have been trying the Five Two diet for a couple of weeks, and I have to say it really seems to be the best one for me. (I got so bored tracking and pointing every day) I have a diet of 500 calories for two days and eat "normally" for five days. Just counting calories for two days, it's great and the bonus is I have lost 4 3/4. lbs.

I brought a book explaining Five Two diet, it is being endorsed by dieticians doctors and other health professionals.

Good luck everyone, just do what works for you.

~Lynda~

~Lynda~ Report 27 Feb 2014 19:38

Hi Paula ;) I know a few people who do the Five Two diet, and they all say how well they do on it, my brother does the diet every other day i.e one day low calorie, next day eat normally, and so on, he has lost over a stone in just 2 months, although I do think men lose weight more quickly than us ladies, no idea why that is though :-S

Once I have lost a few more pounds, I may give the five two a go, will have to get the book, it seems a sensible way to diet, and to then to maintain your weight.

PollyinBrum

PollyinBrum Report 27 Feb 2014 19:59

I think Wendy (Tenerife Sun) did it a while ago she said it worked for her. I agree I think it is a good way of maintaining your weight, I only need to lose another 2 1/4 and I am back to my goal, I think I will then continue with it.

well I'm only going to Slimming World every other week now as I am staying below target

~Lynda~

~Lynda~ Report 1 Apr 2014 18:39

How we doing ladies?

Me, I'm now 4lb off of target. I've found it hard to lose after Christmas and a couple of holidays, but now the good weather's arrived, I'm hoping to lose those last few pounds, somehow thinking of lovely summer clothes has given me new incentive :-D

How about you?

PollyinBrum

PollyinBrum Report 2 Apr 2014 12:18

Hello Lynda how are things with you?. I am back to my weight watchers gold weight, but followed the 5-2 diet. :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D. It suits me much better than counting, weighing, pointing everyday. Keep up the good work.
