Personally I think bread is wonderful, but I would advise against coffee.....It lingers a bit too much for some :-D ....and turn off the tv if it's on lol a friend of mine was stuck with a couple who viewed just as Corrie was starting , they asked if they could sit and watch and didn't then buy :-) |

Jude, as fairly recent viewers we were looking at location, number of rooms and layout, asking price and next doors gardens from upstairs - gardens can speak volumes of the neighbours. |

Good luck Jude. My ex neighbour was an Estate Agent he once told us, if selling in the summer open windows and let in fresh air in the winter make sure the house is warm and welcoming. Make sure the house is looking clean and not too cluttered. He said most potential buyers make up their mind within a few seconds of entering the house. He said to just relax and be positive about the house, say you have enjoyed living there and what you have loved about it etc. If you have a dog, try to keep it out of the way as they are looking round. He also told us to have freshly brewed coffee. He said lots of other things too, but I can't remember them all at the moment. :-D :-D <3 |

"Follow your nose. A home should smell good. That means no noticeable odour -- no pet scent, no stale cooking smells and no cigarette smoke. "People just don't realize how much odour plays into this," says Scott Griffith, president of ERA Griffith Realty in Brighton, Mich. |

When we sold our last house (2007), the first thing the estate agent did was have a deep smell everywhere. The gas meter in kitchen was leaking ever so slightly and no one had before said it was a problem. It was free to get Transco to come out within an hour and test it and make sure it did not smell. |

John why are you deliberately trying to upset Jude? She doesn't deserve it and you are being extremely disrespectful by adding to her thread when she specifically asked you not to. |

he has no shame - he just enjoys irritating people and then he wonders why people have a go at him - then it's a "poor me" thread, I'm a lovely human being blah blah blah - balderdash and poppycock and a few other words I'm not allowed to put on here - b>>>>, sh>> and B>>>>>ks |

I have not danced all over this thread and I think I have made some sensible remarks. And nobody (I mean nobody) tells me where and why I can post on a public forum of which I am a member. |
