	When it rains, it rains. But when it doesn't, it is glorious and it doesn't rain too much. If you get the chance, hire a car (I hired an old Mini Moke which was great fun) so that you can explore the north and east of the island, away from the more touristy areas. Also, a trip down to the southern tip is great because you can see where the Caribbean and Atlantic meet - on some days you can really see a line separating them!

	As I am sat here with my heating on it all sounds so idyllic. Rum was named after the local hooch many many years ago because of the rumbustuous behaviour it caused if one drunk too much. I quite fancy a little bit of that ;-) ;-)

	Try the Mount Gay rum. Aside from the name always making me snigger I think it is also the oldest rum in the world.
