	Trying Thursday I went to a family history centre today in an area I am visiting for a few days. I was told I had to join before they could tell me anything or I could search. The place was empty and I'd explained but was happy to join. I was then told I needed photographic ID, something with an address and an example of my signature. I had my passport and was told it was not good enough ID. I was gobsmacked. I told her that governments all over the world accept it as ID. I had to show my partners passport where I'm shown as his next of kin. It was hilarious. Then it got better. They didn't hold the records I wanted to view for the dates in question. LOL :-D :-D
