Well, no good worrying about that. Think most of those in coal areas who have never liked Mrs T will not be able to afford to travel to London or throw coal.

Nobody down here is even talking about the funeral. I would say for most of South Wales it is a none event. Wonder whether our friends in Yorkshire and the North east and Scotland are more interested.

I love to watch these ceremonial events. All the dignatories. But not quite the same tomorrow for me. So I won't even SkyPlus it.

I sincerely hope there will not be serious disruption at Mrs Thatchers funeral tomorrow. Although I fear there may be.
When all is said and done, it is a funeral, and everyone and anyone deserves respect at their funeral, as do family mourners.

Should there be trouble, then I doubt those of a moronic tendency will give a seconds thought to the consequences of their actions. The protection of the public will be their last consideration.

Whether Mrs Thatcher was loved or loathed, and the country seems divided on that issue, I cannot see the point in protesting at her funeral, especially as she has been out of office for twenty three years.
I suspect that a large majority of protesters will not even have been born during the Thatcher era, or would have been small children.
Maybe rentamob who will jump on any anarchic bandwagon will be out in force.

While I hope very much that the ocassion passes without trouble, I must say that I disagree strongly with the scale, and cost of this funeral.
Is it really justified?
At a time when this country is allegedly in dire financial straits, with cutbacks being announced daily. Councils closing many services through lack of funding.
Food Banks, the modern equivalant of the 1930s soup kitchens popping up like mushrooms all over Britain, because the genuine unemployed, and most vunerable cannot afford to feed themselves or their families.

While I would not expect to see a former Prime Minister shuffle off unnoticed, and the office commands respect even in death, I do feel that the scale and cost of this funeral is way over the top, and out of reasonable proportion.
I understand that Mrs Thatcher and her advisors drew up the details of her funeral some time ago, with all party approval.
Why, when the Thatcher family are extemely wealthy people, could she not have made a considerable contribution to the cost? instead of the estimated £10,000,000 being borne by us, the taxpayers.

I hope tomorrow passes without incident - out of respect.

There were tributes today in Welsh Senedd to Lady Thatcher. All four party leaders spoke. Carwyn Jones (First Minister and only Labour politician in UK in power currently) will be attending tomorrow and hoped that the day would go off without protest. Leader of Opposition Andrew R T Davies (Conservative) will also be in St Pauls.

Tonight (private family service) and tomorrow (Ceremonial Funeral) are not the time to protest. Hope there is respect for the mourners and family - and those watching service.

What exactly are you confused about John?

There is absolutely no point in anyone going to the funeral to protest about anything.

Political decisions from 23 years ago can only be changed by other politicians, and the funeral will go ahead no matter what song anyone buys or how loudly they shout.

I hope the day goes as smoothly as possible for the family and friends.

Paula I do think hospices do a wonderful job and if I were terminally ill that is what I would choose and my oh says the same.

I wonder if the unruly and despicable rabble who may show their heads over the parapet tomorrow have even stopped to consider for one second that apart from the utter and shameful disrespect, whilst they are causing their problems they are taking personnel away from the job of protecting those in attendance.
