It would certainly be interesting to see how the catholic church would deal with that question BK. However, I have a feeling that they would take a negative stance. What do others think? |

You know Cythia if I had post the same exact post as your last one with the very same words, some on here would claim I was being aggressive but seems it wasnt me it was you, ithe same people would argue that you are devoted ....hmmm |

It is well said that in order to avoid arguments never ever discuss either politics or religion. |

If they wish to devote one's self to God, that's all well & good. If they wish to get married maybe that's not such a bad thing as it may teach them what the real world is like, maybe bringing the church up to date with today's times. |

I would not make anyone do anything but, if say, I belonged to a book club, no doubt I would be expected to read a book before I discussed it. |

Sometimes, it is much easier to quote a page which sets it out clearly ( Ie has been researched, considered, edited, re-written by the author) than to stretch my own brain in trying to put into words what I know or what I'm thinking ;-) |

This isn't a debating society either, it's a thread on a genealogy board, I just pass on the bits I don't want to read. |

Cynthia - would you make a person read a whole book just so that it could be discussed? |
