The chemist has just delivered my meds and said "they are promising snow" if that's the case I'll be seeing a whole heap of white!

At the house, to the rear it's Mount Etna, otherwise known as the tiered garden which goes upwards. To the front, trees, trees, and more trees immediately opposite. Upstairs I can see the opposite side of the valley. Lovely in the summer because I can sit with my morning coffee in the sitting room and watch the squirrels leaping around the branches :-D

They certainly are raucous Vfm. I love the sound of gulls, they remind me of a very special and magical place :-D :-D

If Laridae( a new word I learned this morning) at the coast are call seagulls........

then should not those that frequent lafill sites an others be call Landgulls?

From my kitchen (front of house) we can see a round castle on a hill :-) :-)

From the back our garden, then garden at bottom with Fir trees approx 100ft high through the gaps fields and an old viaduct....we are very lucky:)

I think most of us call them seagulls VFM :-)

We usually have gulls in abundance ,tho none around today , I live 30 mile inland, some gulls you can see almost anywhere, particularly the Black-headed Gull....

No I'm not a 'Twitcher' or bird watcher I just have / like reference books .

I call them Sky rats,cos they are right scavengers . :-|

They can be quite raucous at times

I can see the boundary wall opposite, the play school (when I opened the window this morning I was greeted with the sounds of 'sosban fach'). Further are the hills on the other side of the bay.

I can also see seagulls, well they are gulls flying around the bay lolol

Vintagefinemaid - do the big birds with flappy wings make horrid screeching noises? They must be seagulls

I may not be by the sea, but as the river I live by is tidal I had always assumed the big birds with flappy wings that I see from my window sometimes were Seagulls - but I stand corrected

so hot here in Cardiff - all the doors and windows open - I'm in a swimsuit now!!!
