My daughter mid 1960s just wouldn't get milk of any sort down her in sufficient quantities. My Father in Law suggested try bottles made up with Condensed milk - Problem solved. Used to be nice in sandwiches when I was a kid

Not very keen on any sort of milk, so I now use almond milk for everything - less fat and sugar than semi skimmed, and tastes gorgeous!

Camp Coffee works well using evaporated milk too Sharron.

@ Maggie. Perfect lunch in my 'yoof' dripping on toast - the jelly from the bottom - followed by a condensed milk sandwich.

That brought back some memories,You could have been dining with my late husband he loved both of those too <3

Anyone added left-over vappy (evaporated milk) to their cereal the next morning or to pasta and sauce?

Also, anyone for a quick dessert has anyone opened a jar of thick apple sauce and added vappy to it.

Yes, condensed milk buttiies - double drool!

My much-younger sister was brought up on evaporated milk as she would not have anything else in her bottle. Just told her this year and she was horrified! Yet she thrived.

Anyone tried bananas and Mars bar butties? Again, double drool.

Condensed milk, icing sugar and dessicated coconut = Coconut Ice . A sweet treat years ago. :-D
