Paula I believe the archdruid is contemplating his navel and this thread up on top of the nearest mountain. Also wondering where the hell he is going to buy his milk ;-)

What's the Welsh for 'Gizzard worm'? I was never scared by the bogeyman but fear the gizzard worm may still be lurking if I'm a bad girl lol :-0

JustJohn

JustJohn Report 16 Jan 2013 11:36

MrD. A bogeyman = bwgan
The bogeyman = y fwgan or simply 'fwgan.

You were not frightened by any old bogeyman:-D

MrDaff

MrDaff Report 16 Jan 2013 11:16

Dermot, I'd have said 'fwgan' for bogeyman, but that's me ;-)

JustJohn

JustJohn Report 16 Jan 2013 10:10

Dermot. Bwga or bwgan is the word. Alternative is dyn mwc-y-drwyn ;-)

Bwga is pronounced as it looks, so be careful when talking in English about Welsh bogeymen.

I have not read through this thread for a few days. What happened to the Archdruid from the OP?

Dermot

Dermot Report 16 Jan 2013 09:58

Don't panic! I'm not a bogeyman either - at least not the version my mum used to repeatedly trot out when us youngsters were naughty. As if!

What's 'bogeyman' in Welsh?

Sadly, I haven’t seen any royal memorabilia yet in celebration of the forthcoming Royal addition although there are some lovely looking Easter eggs in the shops already.

"Is Dermot the one off Eggheads ? ,if so I'm going to take a lie down otherwise I may faint with excitement"

Thiis was the first post to be doctored last night (by Sandie), Edited with above addition.

Second post doctored was mine (where I added a bit about Eggheads.

This received a reponses from Sandie with "official" edits on her posts.

So I (rather amusingly, I thought) added my "Sandie will be watching Emmerdale soon" to my 1847 post. I added that about 10 mins later, after Sandie has said she was going to watch Emmerdale.

If you don't like a bit of leg-pulling, don't edit posts without saying you have.

Sauce for goose is sauce for gander :-D

Apologies for breaking "code of conduct". Will I be the only one to apologise :-S :-S

Dermot :-D :-D I have worked out who you are from the clues you provided. Irish links, fighting, quite old, supple. Main clue is in locked rooms and escaping. You are...

There must be something wrong with me when I agree with a few of your views.

But, don't fight over me please because I feel crushed already with the weight of my own inexperience. And I'm too near the grave now to start accepting gifts from the devil, although I can still manage to tie my own shoelaces.

Bit of advice - even if you are Welsh, never enter a room without knowing how to get out of it later. Begorrah!

Good night.

John,
I don't wish any additional postings to be added to seem as if they had been posted before mine, and referring to me.
I have details of the original postings, your current postings were doctored !

No way are me and MrD meeting Suzanne and Superstar tonight for more Pwllheli Spar research, Sandie :-D :-D

Sandie. He is not Dermot Murnaghan (jiuces subside). He is Dermot O'Leary of X Factor (juices bubble to surface again). Would you believe one was born in Colchester and one in Devon? Both Dermots must be as English as Rod Stewart and David Lloyd-George :-D

Yeah, when she wants to be ;-)

But this is all fun ,so we'll leave the grit for the men in their Gritter lorries salting the the roads tonight. [ Hopefully ]

Edit 19.01..Me thinks there's a fair bit of unknown editing going on after posting.
Off to watch Emmerdale >>>>>>>>>>>>

Edit 8 pm ....a lot of editing going on eh ! Funny how posts change after some one makes another post.

JustJohn Report 15 Jan 2013 18:47

Is Sandie full of gr.... a very gritty person? :-) ;-)

Think the crutch wielding superstar has quite a few concerns in next day or so. Thank goodness we are all sensible and disciplined and can keep things totally on topic for her.

Hope we get a bit more info about what happened on Barry Island 13 years ago later this evening :-D And do we need to know any more about red pants and police cars stuck up Snowdon?

I expect you will be off in a few minutes to watch Emmerdale, Sandie. I am a big fan. Apparently Hayley Cropper (played by Hon Susan Nicholls) is very ill indeed but Roy is staying to run the Woolpack. ;-)
