You miss the point, as usual, John. You say that you don't want the thread spoilt but you've already spoilt it. |

Sue - you're so right. I've enjoyed (and learned from) so many posts on this thread about Wales and the Welsh language, something I knew little about previously. One of my closest friends is of Welsh parentage - her maiden name was Maurice, which I gather is quite an unusual name in Wales and she's found it hard to track down her Welsh rellies because of that. Wish she'd join GR and give her input to this thread - she'd add quite a sparkle, having a great soh. I must find out where her parents lived in Wales (I only know their names as Ada and Taffy!) |

It would be very difficult to extricate me from sarcasm, Gwynne. Sorry if it offends, but it is part of me. Like me or loathe me :-S |

And your unnecessary sarcasm doesn't spoil the thread, John? |

Others will judge, Hayley :-\ :-\ :-\ Probably privately. I do hope so, as it just spoils the thread imho. |

Thank you Mr Daff for the 'gizzard worm' translation, I'm sorry I missed seeing it earlier. It was what my older brother used to say when I was a child lol, "Be good or the gizzard worm will get you!" :-) |
