Daughter picking me up tomorrow and I'll spend a few days with our family in Durham. I am blessed.

Thank you Vera. I actually managed to watch some news yesterday and was shocked by the scenes in America. Those poor, poor people. We hold them in our prayers.

That's a shame about your shrub Cynthia. Years ago my brother had a large vegetable area at the end of his garden which backed on to a field. One morning he found someone had taken all his leeks during the night. Had he known someone needed food he would willingly have given his veg away. Another friend, with local council permission, planted a tree on a grassy area outside her house in memory of her husband. One day she came home to find her tree and some others had all been dug up and removed. Naturally she was very upset but found out that the trees had been taken out by the council who had given her permission in the first place, To give them their due, when she contacted them they were very apologetic and planted another tree in its place.

I am enjoying the advent calendar.

I hope everyone is keeping well in these difficult times. I am thinking of the poor people in America who have been so badly affected by the strange weather conditions, those who lost their lives and those who mourn them.

Yesterday I discovered someone has stolen a shrub from the front of the house - it's one my late husband had cared for so I am a little bit cross. If someone had needed a plant so badly, I would have bought them one!1
