It’s good to see you on the thread Cynthia but please take time for yourself and your family. You need space and time to grieve. I hope you can take comfort from knowing that your husband was clearly a much loved man. He will have left a legacy of happy memories for you as a family and for his wider circle of friends and colleagues. God bless <3

Those we love are never really lost to us -
we feel them in so many special ways-
through friends they always cared about and
dreams they left behind, in beauty that they
added to our days... in words of wisdom we
still carry with us and memories that never
will be gone... Those we love are never really
lost to us- For everywhere their special love
lives on. <3

Good morning Cynthia,

It's good to see you here with us, but please take time for all that is needed in your personal life.
How lovely that in the midst of such sadness, the kindness of others shone through and your husband's passing was peaceful.

Continuing to hold you and your family in my thoughts and prayers.

Good morning :-)

It is so lovely to come back to such kind thoughts and good wishes. I am so grateful for your thoughts and prayers over this rather difficult time.

The last week has been surreal in that spending time on a camp bed in the hospital was very strange. We were treated like royalty - the staff couldn't do enough for us and we were overwhelmed by their kindness. So very grateful to our wonderful NHS.

My husband's death was so very peaceful - again, something to be grateful for. He had been anointed and blessed by clergy friends and we have been surrounded by so much prayer that it's rather like floating on a cloud.

I will try and return each day but, if I haven't appeared by about 2pm, it would be good if someone put something inspiring on here. If we miss a day or two, it won't be the end of the world.

Thank you my dear, dear friends for your support and love <3 <3

for us all,

God, please enlighten my mind with truth, inflame my heart with love, inspire my will with courage, enrich my life with service. Pardon what I have been, sanctify what I am, and order what I shall be. Amen - Author Unknown

Hello all

It is with deep sadness that I have been asked by Cynthia to inform you all that her husband passed away peacefully this morning with Cynthia and their son beside him.

Cynthia is clearly drained emotionally, spiritually and physically but aims to return to posting when she feels very much stronger.

Rest eternal grant unto him O Lord and let light perpetual shine upon him. May he rest in peace and rise again in glory. Amen.
