I agree Paula. One thing I hate to hear is 'd'you know what I mean' at the end of every sentence. Everything these days has to have a 'modern twist'!!! 'At the end of the day' is another I hate as well. Why can't people think of something original to say.

a few things that really bug me -

people who say "absolutely" instead of "yes"

people who say "at this moment in time" instead of "now"

people who say "these ones" instead of just "these"

why oh why do they do it? do they think it makes them sound more important or more intelligent?

Is it me? but it really gets my back up when people use clichés and worn-out old phrases in everyday conversations, they make me want to hiss. When someone says "Think outside the box," I feel like stuffing them inside a box. I think I will scream if I hear another person say "like, you know" or "whaterver" one more time. I get so tired of the insincerity of people who say someone looks “stunning”
