As a new member of GR I have found some of the threads to be extremely vitriolic and downright nasty. I have tried to follow the logic of some of the arguments but found myself losing the plot. I am now selective as and when I post comments, I love a joke and enjoy good debate but I am not here to fight world war three. I'm so glad I read this thread tonight thank you Gins................ When ever I read your posts I spend the rest of the day singing Annies song :-D :-D

well it's a nice change to see you on here Gins - I'm more used to seeing you on FA but I tend to hop between the two

It was unusually nasty on here for almost week but thankfully it has all passed now - never to return hopefully - things got rather heated but it certainly isn't like that as a rule - believe me!!

Gins.............i don't read, therefore don't contribute to any of the long threads posted on the "Find Ancestors" board.

So maybe i don't understand exactly what this is all about.

Having said that.............the time, effort, support, encouragement and kindness that you freely give on that board, is second to none.

I've always enjoyed your rare posts on here Gins and I think I have responded a couple of times, because you do have a great sense of humour.

I think some people are a little, shall we say, in awe of some of the more (shall we say again!) 'experienced pros' coming on here from over the road.

Just looking at some other threads, there is a big time gap between posts, seems people are really not here tonight even on threads where there's never a cross word.... have we all been here so long we have run out of new things to say? :-(

Nothing much on telly Rose, I think people have got fed up with the nastiness over the past week or so and are staying away. I know I haven't been on as much as it got quite uncomfortable.

Hello Gins, sorry that you feel ignored. I have to admit I haven't noticed you being ignored. Unfortunately the board this past couple of weeks has been a bit uncomfortable. On behalf of gen board regulars I apologise for any perceived rudeness I am sure it is not personal.

Please don't give up, please continue to post on here, we need all the posters we can get and if you put up a thread zi am sure it would be very welcome. :-)
