In wooden bread bid, OH eats copious amounts with everything (even rice) so never have chance to leave in freezer.

Did freeze some to come back to from camping last week only to find electric off Doh.... :-(

freezer on day of purchase then store about a half loaf in a wooden bread bin use a few slices each day we dont often eat the toppers, so they go into the freezer for a rainy day, when there is enough, I make bread puddin' wiv em

My bread used to keep very well in The Northern Rock and in Barclay's with a small float in my poke,but things HAVE changed.

Are baguettes small bloomers? :-D

Wooden bread box here. A loaf isn't around long enough here for the need to keep it in the fridge :-S there wouldn't be enough room anyway.

screws, wiring, and 'bits that might be useful'...does everyone have loads too? I remember my brother having boxes of similar stuff when I was young...now Dan is the same. :-D

:-D at Lynda lol,now a 'what bread's best' thread would be contentious, so many variations to opt for

Brown, white, sliced, unsliced, tin, bloomers, cottage, milk loaf, soda bread, tiger bread, rye bread, malt loaf..... toasted, fried, cut into croutons, home made, shop bought..... :-S

Storage instructions on loaf today ' Store in a cool dry place, ideally not refrigerated'.
