Well done Margot, 1.5 kilos is 3.3lbs, fantastic. Walking does make a big difference. I don't find walking a problem but walking in the extreme heat that we have here at the moment is hard and I don't like walking in the dark. I intend to soldier on and if I lose 2lbs this week I will be very happy as my visitors arrive tomorrow and the house seems to be full of food and drink. |

Day 4 and am absolutely whacked.....I did two trips of 1/12 miles today First with two dogs then with the other. The second time round I had lost 1/4 of a pound from the morning weight. |

How many days of detox are you doing Susan, mind you don't feel faint, i think that maybe you will soon have to add other foods but gradually not too much all at once, but that is just my opinion. Well done with the walking. Glad you feel okay. |

Visitors arrived okay and I made sausage and bacon rolls for lunch with shop bought creamy yogurt type things for pud. I did have one small roll and a low fat yogurt, so not too bad. The roll was nothing short of wonderful but I found one was enough while the visitors all had two. |

Oh Yummy. Celery and Leek...one of my favourites. In winter i'll roast a dead hen and boil the carcase for stock which I skim thoroughly when cooled. Celery Leeks, Onions, Carrots and a drop of the magic "Spike".....just stay away from the spuds and you have a well combined nutritious soup....No bread with it...naughty naughty. |

Well my visitors have returned home and I am back on track. I have had a week of eating and drinking more than usual but not obsessivly. During week 2 I have managed to stay the same. So 4 lbs over 2 weeks. |

Am glad to see this thread is still going even though I am a mere onlooker! :-D I am very curious, Wendy, about how much one can eat on 500 calories? And well done for staying the same in spite of the visitors. |

Right now back from holiday, not got on the scales yet but we have definitely put on weight as we were staying B&B and didn't do as much walking as when in N Tenerife. Sooo next week will have a go at this diet. Does anyone have some good recipes for the 'fasting'/low calorie days? |

No Ann I am very boring on the fast days. Fruit for breakfast i had an apple and a banana but i dont eat much breakfast at any time. Or you can have Weetabix low fat milk no sugar. Lunch 4 Ryvitas no butter low fat cream cheese and cucumber a LF yogurt and mid afternoon a banana. Tonight chicken breast and salad. The other days I eat normally but sensibly, I went out several times in week one and as you know eat pizza but I still lost 4lbs. |

Wendy, Thanks, do you feel hungry on the 500 cal days? One thing guaranteed to make me fail a diet is to feel hungry. And those days will be no alcohol days too! |

Hi Susan the soup will do you good if you aren't we'll, don't over do the diet while you are poorly especially as the weather isn't all that good at the moment. Sometimes if you cut back a lot you regain the weight quicker. It's good having the dogs as you have to go out each day while I can often think of an excuse not too, usually the weather. |
