Im fillin' up, I am. With my new career and new hobbies, not to mention all my charity work with distressed landlords, I just don't seem to have the time to devote to debating the finer points of white goods and how to save money by knitting your own underpants.

Anyway, onwards and upwards. A merry mid winter pagan festival to all and no doubt I will be back at some stage when the family history kicks in again, provided GR gets the tree thing sorted out and the the 14th C parish records for Chorley online.

I am rather sad that you are leaving us but having read through all the comments on this page there isn't really anything else that I can add.
A few times, a while back, I did add to your thread and found your approach to reply to be very accurate and and rewarding.
It appears that some people know that you have been absent before and then came back...I do hope that this time you will also come back.
Enjoy your life, and use that talent that you have re debating, if not with us then with others. How I wish that schools had people like you.

I dont mind paying the subs, due to my rather large lottery win a short time ago. Most of which I am planning to give to worthy charitable causes I hasten to add.

I saw the BVM in a pool of oily water the other day, immediately before my lottery win. How spooky is that, eh! Well, it was either the BVM or Billy Connolly, wouldn't like to swear on which one it was to be honest.

Eldrick. I had been told you were one to watch, and have not seen you contributing recently. Impressed with your precis. As a newbie and one who has gnashed and gnashed for over 2 weeks now, I doubt it has cancelled out the fluffy pink cuddly stuff. There will always be plenty of that.

And I am immensely proud of my ability to switch my computer on and off (which is a superior ability to a University friend down here in the Rhondda who, at 64, has yet to sample the delights of this infernal tool). But sliding things and pushing things and changing focus and reducing glare for no apparent reward makes me think Genes feel I am not as important as Pavlov's dog.

I look forward to seeing your phoenix like rise from the ashes, sir. I agree with others - you are quite a star :-D
