Thanks for that Joy.....i supposed when you think of it yes of course certain dogs are trained for certain things & not like i thought 1 dog does all

JoyBoroAngel Report 11 Aug 2012 08:07

the first time the dogs went in they were normal search dogs
searching for a living person
the police believed Tia was still alive as there had been 60 supposed sightings of her
and due to that they maybe only did a quick search
yesterday they brought a cadaver dog in they search for dead people it was this dog that found her :-(

i think it would of been near impossible to move a body back to the house or out of it
due to the press and people doing a vi dual camped out on the front and back of the house
but this is speculation as nobody knows the facts yet

yes wildchild the mother was his ex partner then moved on to the granny:-(

wisechild Report 11 Aug 2012 08:05

No surprises really, apart from the apparent inability of the police to find the poor child.
I think that most people had anticipated the outcome.
Didn´t I read somewhere that the grandmother´s partner was an ex boyfriend of Tia´s mother????

Stuart Hazell has been arrested on suspicion of murder, after being spotted by a member of the public in Merton.

The 37-year-old was wanted by police after a body was found in the New Addington home he shares with Tia’s grandmother, Christine Sharp.

Mr Hazell is being questioned by police at a south London police station, after being arrested at around 8.27pm.

The arrest comes after police said they were looking for Mr Hazell as part a murder inquiry.

The 12-year-old went missing last Friday and a major police operation was launched to find the missing schoolgirl.

Authorities had warned the public not to approach Hazell.

The body found at the house has yet to be formally identified.

Stuart Hazel has been arrested on suspicion of murder.

The partner of Tia Sharp's grandmother has been arrested on suspicion of murder, the Metropolitan Police has said.

Police were searching for Stuart Hazell, 37, after a body was discovered at Christine Sharp's house in New Addington, Croydon, earlier.

Tia, 12, went missing from the house last Friday.

Mr Hazell was arrested in Merton, south London, at 20:25 BST after he was identified by a member of the public.

He is in police custody. A murder investigation was launched after police searching for Tia found a body.

They are yet to identify the body but the family has been informed.

Earlier, Met Commander Neil Basu said there had been four searches at the property in the past week, two with sniffer dogs, including a search of the girl's bedroom.

Drugs will be at the end of it.

I would as well Rose,,,,infact I'd insist the police carry out what I would expect them to do in cases like this.....rip it apart.

AnnCardiff

AnnCardiff Report 10 Aug 2012 18:28

let's face it - it isn't a mansion of a house - it a small terraced house - if I had a body hidden in my house which is fairly large in comparison, I'd find it, and as Rose says, I'd rip it apart myself in my search for a beloved grand-daughter

Rambling Report 10 Aug 2012 18:14

Talking with D about it, re the police procedure not being to tear the place apart to start with...if it was my child missing, family or not, I'd tear the place apart myself to make sure she wasn't there,

It does just go to show though how someone can lie so brazenly. To lie at a press conference is one thing , we've all seen it done over the years, but to actually invite the press into the house.... just beggars belief, but then most of the whole sordid tale defeats me.

Kay????

Kay???? Report 10 Aug 2012 18:06

I will stick my head up and criticise the police........a week,!! they have been in that house almost daily as far I saw,,,,,,,,had dogs in a couple of days ago, the family have been in and out.

The grandmother is part of it I'll bet my all my worth.
