I know people have tried turning down the brightness, but how about fiddling with the contrast instead ?

Its not in the medical world Diz , as people can lead as near normal life as the next with some cautious exceptions. ........,unless they cant be controled and usually these have other health issues in tandem.

But there are many types of epilespy.

Hi Dizzi

I know on ancestry even though it is white background it is not bright as on hear, I will not be renewing when it is time as this is like a blue tinge and makes you feel all fuzzy.

It is classed as a disability, you have no control an I for I do not get any warning signs.

It's only spoiled if you let it be, for me I just think one person has been made to look foolish & it's not me so it's ok. Chin up, shoulders back, put your best foot forward & keep going.
PS... that's 102 postings now. :-D

My grandaughter is Epileptic and on medication for life ,,,,,,, and its not classed as a disability unless there are other factors involved.,.an epilepitic fit can be brought on by by nothing at all it just happens, but certain things can increase the chances of inducing one,,,,,,such as flashing lights over a long time thats called photo sensitivity and so disco lights are advised to be avoided for a long time.

My G/D doesnt use a filter on her laptop, but I know she wouldnt have coped well with the screen as bright as it was,and not saying either it would have induced a seizure.

Just be sensible if things arent right,,,,,you wouldn stand in front of a diso lighting deck knowing it could induce.

I keep having to squint to see the text on threads,,,,,,,,,and its giving me winkles round me eyes,,,,,,,,,,,,take note GR,,,,,, ;-) ;-) :-D

Still got my shades on,still too bright for me and no doubt others,as for the Trolls? I tend to ignore their stupid facitious remarks. It was a genuine question which was asked and a few others "Including myself" added to it with their own problems with it. As for the soles of feet? I have that as well, :-S,but then I think "AAAH" :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D ;-)

Now that GR have made the decision to change the site i think we will see it continue to evolve over time,

But only whilst the issues are debated and if members send their feedback to the GR team

Just my opinion and mine alone
