OH is getting ours through a satellite. Earlier last week when the box hadn't 'woken up' in the morning and freeview was coming off the ariel, there was some message about needing to up date the freeview channels. If you haven't done that, it might help.

OH says the Red Button on BBC does take a little while (30sec?) to load, and that's using the Satellite.

Hello Bob
You can use your freeview on red button, go to bbc 1, then press red button, you can only watch the live sports on this. At the moment the choice is Volley ball, gymnastics or equestrian sorry no shooting at the moment. i will see if i can find out when the shooting is Bob

can any one explain how the BBC red button works? do you have to have a special telly? should it work on freeview? is it a paid for function...........???

I am so far disgusted with the way the beeb is presenting events, I am really only interested in shooting , but all I can find, is catchup........and thats on the Pc.....not telly....

Shame they missed a medal, I did see them dive and thought they were good, but then had to go and do something so missed the results. Who won the medals?

You must be one very proud Auntie Spruce, fantastic race, and what a lovely girl she is, so chuffed for all the family :-D I'm hoping that I will be able to watch her race on Friday in Hyde Park, as I will be working in London then

A question for those who watched both the men & Ladies road race..... did you see that within the first half the men had stopped off for a wee in the bushes, yet the women did the whole race without stopping at all. Now without going into graphic detail, how do the women manage not having a wee, or is there something they "use" that I don't know about? I'm intrigued :-D :-)

I've been watching tv most of the day (apart from nipping into kitchen making dinner for hungry mouths :-) )...pity it was so wet for the cycling but was soo exciting, we were screaming at the tele. for Lizzie Armitstead and she got silver :-D

Then watched syncronised diving, amazing but don't know how they're judged as they all look tremendous to me.

Spruce... Good luck to your niece,we enjoyed her swim this morning :-D :-D

the family who are there at the pool side all have pink / purple large union jacks with her name on, so she can spot them amongst the crowd. My oh has just gone to fetch grandaughter from work. I'am going to get ready now, so will speak when i get back. Her next swim will be Thursday morning, if she qualifies, the final is Friday night her grandpa's 84th birthday. Good luck to all GB.

Spruce :-D :-D

Wow Spruce, that's wonderful, hadn't realised before, what a great athlete she is :-D

Wishing her well, will be rooting for her, whatever position she gets, we all know how much she has trains, and how much it will mean to her.

Such a shame you can't be there to watch in person, but have a great time at the pub with the rest of the family. I hope the seating at poolside is fit to bursting. -D

I'm even more excited than I was, now I know it's your Niece, really chuffed for you :-D

Hello Lynda

I will give you her initals, R A also known as becks. Don't want to put her name on here. Because it will be all over the web. Going out later to watch her with the rest of the family, who didn't get tickets.
