Wisechild you would need to buy the 3G version which downloads books without the pc. But you also need to check with Amazon if the 3G works in Spain. There is something at the back of my mind about problems with Spain. However I have just used mine in Tenerife. |

I wasn't too sure I even wanted one, but got given it for my birthday.....now I just wouldn't be without it, and have never read so many books! |

I've got 3 kindles, an iPad and an iPod in case the iPad breaks down. I can actually read 5 books at once if I wear two pairs of stereo glasses and squint a bit. And if I plug the iPhone in I can listen to an audio book at the same time. |

Hope you enjoy your Kindle as much as I do mine. It will take quite a while to charge up the first time. |

How to turn it on? I sat with the instruction booket for a few minutes; it referred to a "slider" which wasn't marked on the illustration! Eventually found it. |

I have a Kindle and I think it is the next best thing to sliced bread, I live in portugal and when i 1st got mine (last year) I had to buy from the states but then this year Amazon realised that I ordered stuff from the UK and changed it over for me. I read quite a bit and it is definately cheaper for me to buy books 1 or 2 at a time because otherwise I would have to wait until I had a order over £25 to get free postage |

This is a marvellous site which lists free books for kindles. Not just classics but links to promotions on Amazon, they change daily. |
