Hi Jude,
What a coincidence you having IOM entries in your Family Tree!
In my Sister's branch of my tree she has a relation (Eunson) who married in the IOM and then came on to the UK.
In my son's branch of my tree his wife has roots in the IOM, they came over to Lancashire (1800's) so my Daughter-in-Law has connections back to the IOM (Cowin) which I understand is a popular name on the Island.

Yes, I had a great time on the Island, we had never been there before so there was plenty to explore and hundreds of potential pictures to paint at some future date.

I would love to see the Meninsky catalouge photos, would you want to send them to me direct via e-mail?

Regards

Peter :-)

............ it seems such a shame that your visits were not tourist type trips, there is so much to see that is beautiful there.

But I am sure your memories are precious to you anyway.

Jude

Hello - are you there?

Last post almost a year ago...........

Just watched a TV programme called Rip off Britian.

It tells the story of William 'Billy' Mumford, this was mentioned in the thread and someone posted the Daily Mail link.
{http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2139135/Art-fraudster-caught-forging-paintings-worth-hundreds-thousands-pounds-jailed.html}

I just wondered if you saw it, if not you might find it on i-Player, it's worth watching .

Regards

The story of Billy Mumford was also on "Fake Britain" on BBC1 tonight. A lot of people lost a lot of money buying his paintings, thinking they were the real thing.
