Fabrice Muamba's condition has been downgraded from Critical to Serious. That is good news. It's going to be a long road, but he's moving in the right direction.

Lovely to read of the progress Fabrice Muamba is making.. A worrying time for all his family and friends.

His heart attack, happening in front of so many people has helped to bring home to us all the importance of good health, .
Also grab life with both hands, you don't know how how it will last.

Soecial thoughts to all the people who have lost family members or friends in a simalar way.
This must have bought back memories for them.

Hope that you continue to improve, Fabrice

So sad that, a footballer collapes in Italy and he wasnt as lucky, he died aged just 24 yrs.......heartbreaking.......but after it happened here last month there were calls for heart checks to be carried and certifcates issued for football players as in Italy , what happened? :-( :-(

Muffyxx

Muffyxx Report 15 Apr 2012 11:28

Knowing the FA it'll take years before they do anything.

Fabrice Muamba was so fortunate that a specialist heart doctor was in the crowd at the time and came forward to help.

Others unfortunately aren't so lucky

Haven't read about the Italian player but it's sad news :-(

I seen it on FB, there is actually footage of him falling to knees then going on all fours and falling face down in the ground one of his own players is running behind him watching the ball and notices, then frantactily is waving his arm in the air trying to get the ref attention as play contnues for what seems like an age. :-(

Thats SO sad, only 24..........

But at least he died doing what probably loved, and likely it was quick and unexpected...............
