Now THAT Joy is a bleeding good point. I often hide in there too...but I take the Private Eye with me........bit of a b*mmer if it falls down the loo but no REAL harm done in the scheme of things lolololol x

Your opinion Bernard...and you're entitled...I happen to disagree. I'm the child's mother and I know best *smiles sweetly*

ermmmm, Joy, you didn't mention the partridge in the pear tree :-D

With all due respect, Bernard, :-) there could be good reasons for an 11 yr old girl needing a mobile phone - particularly these days

Bernard

Bernard Report 28 Feb 2012 23:09

Absolutely no need for a mobile phone at 11 years old.

its common knowledge
that with two adults a sibling three barking dogs two meowing cats
several birds tweeting and do i have to go on
that the noise levels are not always good in muffys house
so maybe the loo

is the only quite place in the house to make a phone call

A knitted mobile phone cover.....awwww bless, sounds like something my granny would have knitted for me :-D but I think I'd have preferred a new tiny tears outfit ;-)

Muffyxx Report 28 Feb 2012 22:51

Now knitting I can't do lol.

She said *oops sorry...I think i've broken it*

Dad said........never mind E we'll sort it.

Mum said.......hmmmmmmm we'll talk about it tomorrow..though I do know it's an accident. but WHY did you take it to the loo with you !!!!!!!!!!!!!

lolololol.

..........I'm not cross with her or anything and she knows that....but she also knows that rules changed once high school started...so I don't think it'll come as a HUGE surprise to her x

Give her the choice of a or b. If she wants the decent phone then she can pay half towards it.

I think you're right Muffy.

If you choose C) what will be the next thing that she will ask for when she wants it replacing?

Has she come up with any solutions herself? Well ones that don't involve you paying for it?

However, going off on a tangent, I remember (when I was very very little) dropping a notepad made out of pieces of paper stapled together down the toilet by mistake (I was very upset as I loved my stationery).

When I woke up the next morning my mum had made me a lovely blue outfit for my Tiny Tears complete with a bonnet. It did make me feel better and I've never forgotten it :-D

Option A !!!
Yes, she is your baby and you love her to bits, so do the decent thing and teach her the value of money - you know it makes sense :-) .

And what's more, she WILL thank you for it in the end ;-)
