Muffyxx

Muffyxx Report 29 Feb 2012 11:05

She doesn't like Blackberrys she HATES the way they beep all the time lolololol

If youngest had done it she'd have to save her pocket money to pay for it rather than have it to hand....same rules would apply..

No I think that lesson has been well and truly learnt Stray lol x

StrayKitten

StrayKitten Report 29 Feb 2012 11:01

to be fair just coz shes a saver doesnt mean she should have to spend it :-|
poor baby, she can come and live with aunty stray and have my black berry :-P haha,

if its not to expensive then i think thats fair game, altho im sure she wont be taking it the toilet no more

Muffyxx

Muffyxx Report 29 Feb 2012 10:52

She is a saver bless her lol. Unlike her sister who spends it as soon as it's in her hands !!!

Her phone isn' t an all singing and all dancing one tbh...it's a very low entry level smart phone....at her age that's what most of the other children have as well......she uses her phone mostly to play silly games on at the mo as she has to pay for her own texts and calls ....so she's not forever on it.

She will prob get a new phone for her birthday in August....but having looked at second hand versions of what she's using now it's not a great deal of money so I don't think either she or us will be worried if we have to replace it....this one might even dry out yet....*fingers crossed*

Tbh it's more about the principle of the thing than the cash ..I'm not cross with her...she knows that...accidents happen....gawd knows I've done silly things often enough !!! x

You've said she has pots of money. Is that right? In that case, she could buy her own replacement, perhaps a reconditioned one, certainly not an all singing, all dancing version which could get lost/stolen at school.

If you're feeling flush, she could have a slightly better brand new one for her next birthday or Christmas.

In the meantime, she could borrow the family spare, but it has to be handed back and turned off when she is at home.

It would do her good to be detached from it for some of the day; so many young people are too dependent on electronic equipment of any sort.

Hopefully, she is paying for her own credits out of her pocket money, not relying on you to cover the expense.
