Now personally I like Monty Don however Mr T is nearer to my home!!!!!

I know he likes a cream tea and OH bakes a mean scone and he would definitely appreciate his advice on pruning my plants!

i tend to stay clear of people i dont get on with, but then its hard when lies are being spread, and threats are being made,

i to have give people chances i never thought i would and some, i cant belive we never used to get on, they say you meet friends in the strangest places and i truely have :-)

Stray I've given chances to people on here in the past and quite frankly I'm glad I did.

Sometimes people have to move on or if that's not possible, keep away from each other.

This general sniping on the boards by either party isn't good for anyone.

Chris, coincidentally after talking to "Martyn" every so often on the boards,I did feel a bit embarrassed today when I realised that I've been speaking to Sue all these years and calling her by her board name Martyn. Sue was very nice about it though.

I talk about flowers to men all the time ( well a lot lol) Merlin on here for roses, and my brother and male friend for gardening and plants in general..I talk DIY a lot to my (female) friend, she is well into decorating and plastering conversations lol.

Chris, if Mr Titchmarsh is looking in he is welcome to call round with his spade and some plants :-D

ChrisofWessex Report 11 Feb 2012 17:42

Am puzzzled as to why Puss would be embarrassed/or feel she was boring talking to a man re flowers? Old Titchmarsh springs to mind immediately. Is he a member - does he have time? Not just women who grow flowers or arrange them come to that.

most have marion, butt here is still the odd 1 or 2 lurking i suspect,

somtimes SRS, people have had too many chances, :-) so its better to stay well clear, especially when lies are being sent round about you,

Puss, Vera's right - there was a thread recently about spring flowers coming up early and some of the fellas were joining in. In fact I think it was a man who started it. I think most people are happy to talk about most things.

Ive got a 'Juliet' balcony but in fact its a bit of metal to stop you falling out.
I think I should be able to attach a planter to it unless H and S says no.

There is a bluebell wood near me. Maybe I'll get my daughter to take me there.

Puss

If only. I wish I could see a snowdrop. Moved into a flat and all I can see and hear is builders.. I think the men on here would be only toopleased to have a natter about snowdrops.

I love it when the spring flowers come out. New beginnings and all that.

I deleted my posting because I thought it might have been a bit provocative to the men but maybe I'm now getting paranoid.

I posted because of the subject, in all cases, I think if one is going to put a topic on this board or any, that gender is irrelevant whether you get replies from men or women or both, both sexes will be reading it!.

But then there's nothing I would talk about to a woman that I wouldn't talk about to a man. :-D

Island

Island Report 11 Feb 2012 16:09

Puss, I was just curious as it seemed coincidental. I'm sure you would have felt the same if the situation had been reversed :-)
