I think we've been asked for mobile numbers too - I have a vague recollection of the 'be orff with you my good soldier' factor kicking in. I occasionally get asked what device I am using (cheeky ;-) :-0) but I ignore that too. I do get an email telling me about my unknown device though. I've never registered a 'device' so they needn't think they're going to add 'in the loo' to my posts. Kids eh? :-P Could be a chuckle if one was inventive though! LOL

Are you still registered as 'Red Hot Chilli Stud Muffin' ? :-D

Oooo...Hello Teresa :-D Welcome to my humble abode.

I tried washing up. Didn't like it. It'll never make it as an Olympic event.

Oh, so Aunties old soldier (or was he a high flyer?) has decided to make a proper madam of her? Fascinators all round then? :-D

I'm going to have to attend to the evening repast for 3H is imminent.

You'll have to get some medical gloves Jiminy - or use a teaspoon!

My fella picked the last eight off our plant on sunday - I dunno what he's done with them though :-S

Question is - how much do we cut back the plant by?

Morning Island, glad to see your about. Have also noticed Prickles up to her usual mischief, and Wend has dipped in a tentative toe. No Mersey as yet.

Julia

Julia Report 25 Jan 2012 12:16

Hiya Babes, havn't you finished that yet LOL
I'm helping Juminy with a local history query, 'cause I 'as d knowledge.
Still crocheting my neck insert. With it's tassles hanging down, it looks like something Yasser Arafat used to wear. Might do meself a matching head piece like he used to wear. LOLOL
I have now got to do a tour of the Charity shops to find a grey coat/jacket, as the coats that I wear, don't match the neckwear.LOL

Speaks soon

Hello Crusty :-D

Why didn't you get yarn to go with your yellow trenchcoat and red bovver boots Julia? :-D

Julia

Julia Report 25 Jan 2012 12:30

The wool just happened to be in stock. I had knitted a short sleeved jumper, and it was what was left. I was going to take it back to the shop ans put it against something else, but didn't get round to it, and then I saw this pattern, and wanted to do it, you know, like you do. LOL.
By the way, the red bovver boots and the gold, not yellow, trenchcoat, both got an airing, when I was going to visit the OH in hospital, just before Christmas, but not worn together.

Wend

. . . . . or that flirty little fuchsia number she saves for the paramedics LOL

Island

Island Report 25 Jan 2012 12:36

I'd put yellow - sorry, gold, - red and fuchsia together :-D
I went to art school you know and have an adventurous way with colour :-D

Julia

Julia Report 25 Jan 2012 12:40

Oh Wend, that made me laugh. The OH wondered what I was up to. I think I am goinf to have to change that coat.
You see it's like this. They are all used to that coat at the hospital, so when I am creeping off the ward to have a crafty puff, three flights down, they know that it is me, and can call after me. LOL
It will soon be spring, and I will have to get me pale lime green number washed and brushed up.

Island, do yer want me going out dressed like a feckin' rainbow, or summat.LOL

I'm after a pattern now for some head wear to match. I am rather taken with the berets that Pearl Ladderbanks wears in Emmerdale, but I think a sort of Glengarry would suit me better. I don't want something that looks like a pancake on me 'ead. So I'll be having a look this afters. for a free pattern.
I bet that the Gauls pinched the idea for a Beret, from the Gaelics when they were together in the Auld Alliance. No, that is not a pub, Island.LOLOL

Island

Island Report 25 Jan 2012 13:43

Are you offering me a croggie on your zimmobile Merlin? :-0

Were you posted to the Sahara? A sky view there must be sensational.

Julia, what about a tricorn? That would be quite fetching at a jaunty angle :-D

Where's Wend gone? Is she clod turning again or out to lunch with her laydeez?

No Prickles, no Dizzi, no Mersey, chris or Barbra :-0 :-( Come on gals, shake a feather

Island

Merlin Report 25 Jan 2012 13:57

Many Moons ago I was in that area, the skies at night in any desert are wonderful to see.not as quiet as people think though, but no backlight to spoil the view. Oh and its Bl**dy Cold. :-D :-D :-D Ps. as Julia does a lot of Cooking. Perhaps she should wear a Stovepipe Hat. :-S :-D
