Joy, the OH put in 56 seeds down the allotment about a month ago, and all but 1 have germinated. I will be knee deep in them, when it is picking time. Set my tomato seeds in kitchen window sill, about 24th March, and they are over an inch high, and ready to produce their first pair of true leaves. |

Lor ,keyhole is the way it's done these days,the surgeons will be in and out like a fiddlers elbow,and you will be home in a couple of days,lol,i was home in five after a triple bypass and a 12 inch wound in my right leg where they took the vein from for the repairs to the ticker,and a ten inch wound on my chest ,you should spend all your time worrying about your garden he He. :-D :-D Fred. keeping a kettle warm xx |

The Peach tree def' get under cover.sooner the better ,but the lilly may be okay if you want to chance it.don't know how big height wise your tunnel is. |

Just had a heavy shower and it is very cold but no snow so far thank goodness. Also drove straight int T**** petrol station filled up at 139.9 no problem. I reckon everyone has a full tank for a while. :-D |

L K P [new designation] for Puss ,lol t'other one is wearing my finger ends out.the snow me duck has already arrived up here ,so it's as well we went to do the weeks shopping early this week,by the time we finished in Cramlington with A*da ,and the other shop Wil*ins*ons for the seeds and weedkiller ,it was spitting on with rain ,and by the time we were back on our Patch ,finished the food shopping in Morrisons,and gone into Frydays for our fish and chips ,it was starting to snow he he ,so by the time we had eaten ,finished our cuppa ,and opened the door ,the flakes were getting bigger and heavier. |

Yeah sounds about right ,silly puss has got my wife sniffing round ours now for lavvy smells he he i am using two different coloured ones ,intemingled to hide the end of the garden shed to great effect sniff ,,chortle . |

hello lesley i dried mine on tissue paper, yes Ann thats the one, im just waiting for some more compost, when OH has filled the pots i will sow the seedlings, love this thread so informative, he is playing with the car again, no wonder it makes funny noises :-0 |

Fred you said you dry your tomato seeds what is the best way of doing this please, I would leave them to dry out on a saucer then when completely dry store them in a brown paper bag or do you advice a different way. |
