I'd love to think I'd meet up again with my beloved OH, and my lovely Mum and Dad, and close friends I have lost over the years but somehow I think that's just wishful thinking

I do wish I could believe it and I do go to church but I just can't get my head around it - I'm not afraid to die - some time back now [and I'm not asking for sympathy here by the way] I decided to end it all and took a massive overdose - woke up a couple of days later. Now if dying is like that it'll be good :-)

Porridge finished...

it is not death that worries me ( whatever is after, whether something or nothing, holds no fear) but I would rather go young(ish) than be ill and incapacitated, mentally or physically and have a life that excluded everything I take enjoyment from.

ButtercupFields Report 17 Jan 2012 20:15

I like that Eldrick...I agree
:-)

I also like your puppy, in fact I think I have fallen in love and my dog will be 14 this year and it's time to find a replacement, sooooooo... <3

good topic :-)

Don't want to go but can't avoid it, so trying to get the utmost out of life before I go, cos this aint no rehearsal!

It would be nice to 'pass over' and meet all my old dogs, friends and relatives, but that's not going to happen. I like the explanation given by Neil de Grasse Tyson - words to the effect that we are made of atoms that came from the creation of the universe 13 billion years ago, and we will return to that - we are literally star dust. And I think thats sort of cool :-)

Make the most of this precious life, don't waste it. And don't be afraid of the inevitable - there's no point.

Hello BC ~~~

I am not worried about death or dying, I'd like to stick around until Dan is old enough to inherit without kerfuffle though .
