I also watch the majority of the soaps but I would not vote for someone because they are in one of my soaps I would vote for them because I think they are good.

But I do think that Andy is getting a bit above himself now hes not that good.

Sorry Rita, I don't see it that way because I don't take anything on the gogglebox seriously. My view is that so called celebs enter reality shows for the airtime regardless of how much or how little they get because I dare say win or lose they know there will be spin off deals. At least Andy has a job and isn't famous for selling tawdry snippets of his life.

I think I see where Janet is coming from. some of the contestants on all these reality shows do find it hard to take criticism. But I rather think it is because, at least among the younger ones, it has been policy to not have things like sports days so that you don't have any losers. And only to praise (eg praise the story don't criticise the bad spelling). This has made a generation unable to accept failure/criticism.

You can see the ones who listen to criticism and then come back the following week better for putting the advice into practice.

I watch Corrie and I don't vote either. Actually I don't think it is meant to be taken seriously. If it was they would devise a different method of voting so that the worst skaters went out first. It is just a money making facility that provides a measure of entertainment.

I do like Matthew and jorgie. Ouch! Poor Mat's face, I bet that was sore, full marks to him for the way he carried on.

When children are brought up in a discipline no matter what it is ,whether it is sport/dance/music they learn to take criticism as part of the learning process. This shows at these sort of programs or X factor etc. When criticism comes later in life it is a hard lesson to take in. Most judges are there to guide novices and it would be a lesson worth learning, unless Andy, hopefully, gets knocked out next week. -jl

What annoys me is viewers who think they know what the contestant is thinking.

Frankly, I don't give a monkeys who 'wins' because it is just a bit of well engineered LE fluff :-D

Don't know about the contestants last night but I enjoyed the kiss that Christopher Dean gave to Jayne as the program finished. What a remarkable two-some to stand the test of time........unlike his marriages.-jl

I don't think Andy is any worse than Sam, who fluffed both lifts - they should have left the second one out as it did him no favours.

It should probably been Andy and Chemmy in the skate off then the judges would have voted Andy off.

i defo think andy should have been of but most shows like this were the public vote throw in things that shouldnt happen

Morning all. I saw the results show and what a disappointment. Fancy keeping Andy in and getting rid of Sam. He has improved so much and he had to do tha Frog Lift twice poor soul and he was so gracious when he got booted off.

As you say Mat - loverly. Hope he wins really. But it is hard to say because the others apart from Andy have all upped their game now.

Shame that Sam went, I remember him from Pop Idol and liked him then. (he didn't win). That was where he and Mark palled up. (Mark didn't win either)

Andy should have gone, I don't think that he realises how lucky he was tonight.

Was pleased that Chemmy wasn't in the skate off again this week, I relly hope that she stays in longer than Andy.

I good night of skating, I enjoyed watching, but got a bit worried about the risks some of them seem to be taking.

Tbh Rose I didn't think either Chico or Sam should have been in the skate off but I'd have had difficulty putting in anyone other than Andy because they were all good.

Stray, completely agree with you about Matthew. The only thing that surprises me about him, especially last weeks performance, is that the ice didn't melt. I sure as hell did ;-)

Same old same old. public keeping the worst skater in. I am convinced the public vote is against the judges rather than for the skaters. Andy should have been in the skate off.
