Good evening young Foggy.

Have you given up shaving? You deffo have a 5'o'clock shadow. ;-)

I like to have a giggle too. But quite often my humour leave people speechless. At least, I mean to say, they dont answer. lol

I wasn't on here in the old days, but it seems it was more fast and furious then.

I reply to very few threads cos I'll get in instant holiday if I say what I really think ;-)

We used to be much more tolerant on the old board and members KNEW after reading a couple of posts which way the thread was headed....down....usually but sooooooooooooo funny.

Then there were the good old arguments *cough* sorry...debates :-D

Now we are expected to kowtow and I for one would not feel comfortable watching what I said.

Agree with Muffy's first post. The General Chat seems to have lost something, though when it first came out, it seemed like a good idea.

coming online for me is a release, n fun, im not without compassion, but, i think for me sadly it depends who n what etc, like some of the debate threads they get far to involed for me,
and i dont do politics!!!! lol,

I shocked a lady I speak to this week by saying I haven't watched the soaps for years (she watches them all) as I found them just too depressing lol, I'd rather watch something that makes me laugh :-D

edit.... or a good murder :-D

Well I for one disagree, I think there is far too much frivolity now days on these boards.
They should be only for serious people who want to spend all their time doing family history and the like.

I just do not get any enjoyment from some of the downright silly antics of some of the members.
We should stop all this silliness right away.

My bum....LOLOL

God I feel the same Mersey.....whatever I say seems so stilted and un natural...though I am being at my most genuine !!!

Have to say I just skim them nowadays which is a shame as I have nothing against giving positive thoughts..it's just that if i read them all I'd be as depressed as hell by the time I'd finished and most days I just nip in and out unless it's evening and OH is out or playing his daft xbox games and I'd rather have a bit of a laugh or rant than pee myself off further lol x

Mersey

Mersey Report 8 Jan 2012 18:38

Nothing like a bit of fun and having a bit of banter but do have to say I do enjoy reading all the other threads even if I do not post.....

I lack confidence with regards to some threads (Not in a doom and gloom way) but in just the way I may come across.....

I feel more relaxed and confident with the laughter and fun kind of threads (I hope that makes sense)

Life is for living and having fun :-D :-D :-D

I suppose really I get on with most on here. There are some that I still answer with some reverence. I suppose that is force of habit, as they were generally the ones on the other board.
There are still a handful I avoid like poison.
And I know that this must be off-putting to genuine newcomers, but I tend to wait now and see how others react to them. I know this shouldn't be, we were all newcomers once, but previous situations have made this so,
Well, for me at least.
