Muffy said.....

the chat board was a bit of a free for all ...mostly jabbing and laughter...I always considered the General board to be a bit more grown up....hence being happier in chat...lol

For me ...this site has lost some of it's magic since the change to one board. Lots of different personalities who were better off not mixing now having to co-exist ....

....maybe it's just me ...

I agree....there was also a better class of wum on the old general board :-D.......bring it back says I.

Ann i sat with a macmillan nurse the other day
and she was horrified at what she was shown
misinformation some total fantasy or scaremongering

its shocking if people are ill see a doctor
or contact a agency dealing with what they have
somewhere that will give the right information you need
and not somebody off a genealogy site
that give their email addy and phone number
and has no qualifications to give this sort of advice
some body may end up dead and this truly worries me

I'm sorry but I don't see the support threads as doom and gloom. And, actually since there were complaints and people commenting on the support threads there are not so many on the board now. I think maybe people are frightened to ask for aupport in fear of being accused of 'milking it'.

I stand by everything I said all the way back in Jan.....A professional mourners board and leave the gloom and doom circle to inflict their misery on one and another on there.

Evening everyone :-D

Last labour was 28 hours and a dry one at that! In those days gas & air. I ate it but do not recall it did much good!

Threw GP as I asked to see the placenta - said I'd missed it the first time and there wasn't going to be another. When he realised I was genuinely interested he did show and explain all - said first time he had been asked that one!

that was a nice nana nap

first child was in hospital a week before
and had a 3 hour labour baby 11lb 1oz 24 inches long
but had to stay in 16 days after

second was in a month
two hour labour preterm baby 9lb 3 oz 19 inches long
and stayed in for 14 days

I'd be happy to have the two separated again.

Wrt labour, after having my first, I insisted on having an epidural with my second. Btw I went home the next day after my second but was in 4 days with my first.

Just got home from house, tell you later :-D

I had to trawl through the contents of merged boards as usual whereas before it changed I could pick up threads of interest PDQ.

Now I lose the will to live skipping over the dross :-P

Bring back the mad chat board!!!!!
