Can I join the BC thread with all its perks please?

I will have a dollop of everything except the patchouli oil. Cos I reminds me too much of me teenage years - enough said.

I agree about the fiction on some of the threads, especially the Auntie Motie one ....................... but I think somehow she is pulling yer leg.

Keep one board for the birthdays, in memoriam, illness and positive thoughts threads, and those who need a 'quiet' place.
If GR can do it for quizzes they can do it for those too :-D

Muffyxx

Muffyxx Report 15 Mar 2012 12:31

Thank you Jude.

Yes it's very good that they're looking into it.

And I didn't post on the other one for reasons well known...hence bumping this one...there's obviously room for both threads to co exist happily though x

Much better when Chat & General were separate. Anyone recall the daft threads when Daniel featured a lot - wonder what the boy is doing now? He must have left uni.

StrayKitten

StrayKitten Report 15 Mar 2012 13:25

GR are looking into lots of things,i thought it would be better to merge chat n general, but now i wish it hadnt been,

my fear if they have a board for, illness, etc, is, people will mis diagnose, and give the wrong advice, endangering people, as there is a few on here who think they know better than others, the best advice for anyone who is ill, is to seek medical advice from a doctor,

* Likes* Stray's post :-D

I too am concerned at the potential for real disaster in medical advice given out by those not qualified to do so, sympathy is one thing, but we have all seen 'scaremongering'.. I am put in mind of those old horror stories of childbirth that some women seemed to delight in scaring the newly pregnant with! :-0

JoyBoroAngel

JoyBoroAngel Report 15 Mar 2012 13:52

Rose a number of people have stressed their concern
about people giving advice
especially on subjects they barely know anything about
they are not doctors or nurses

like stray said it could cost lives so if you ill see a doctor
it could very well save your life

would GR be responsible if something on here resulted in a death ???because i am sure some would point the finger in their direction

StrayKitten

StrayKitten Report 15 Mar 2012 13:57

and then there is some who would, try and out do others illnes, no it would never do,

Rose thats a pet hate of mine and it tell all expectant mothers, if it was that bad people would only have 1 child, "altho doesnt sound good coming from somone who only has1" lolololol
