I reply to very few threads cos I'll get in instant holiday if I say what I really think ;-)

We used to be much more tolerant on the old board and members KNEW after reading a couple of posts which way the thread was headed....down....usually but sooooooooooooo funny.

Then there were the good old arguments *cough* sorry...debates :-D

Now we are expected to kowtow and I for one would not feel comfortable watching what I said.

Well I think it's great. Where else in the world could you find somewhere to discuss the merits of domestic detergents alongside the definitive cure for Myelgichalfontica. Where else in cyberspace does your hard drive manically vibrate with the energy from pos thoughts? There's more prayers per kilobyte than at the vatican when another priests been caught with his hands in the wrong place and the domestic appliance advice is better than Which? magazine.

I'd love it to go back to the way it was. I rarely ventured on to the old general board, it was full of doom and gloom, it was depressing. Even though there were rucks on Chat, at least we used to have a laugh in between them...and there were more laughs than rucks.

Now this board is full of depressing doom and gloom too, and the lighthearted banter has gone from here. Something I could have done with lots of in recent months. Thank goodness I keep in touch with people outside of here, and they cheer me up no end and keep me positive.

Its understandable that people ask for positive thought I have done so myself in the past when there is a major upset going on in my life.... some may that is doom and gloom but at least Ive to balance it out with fun happy threads.

I have noticed over the past few weeks, that there is a certain standard required before you should even post on such thread..not lets just say this is one of the said threads....

Now if you try to add a bit rytheme and reason.....well Muffy the reason why they decided to emerge the 2 boards is because: Some people suggested it *comment dismissed* and its so they could add other new boards * comment dismissed* its to make the site better not everyone will agree * comment dismissed*
