Sorry, Ann, I haven't replied to your last two, but I will. I've received so many - it's a bit hard to keep up!

~~~Ann, have just sent you an email...I got lost in Hampshire for a while there studying the maps!( Does anyone else do that or is it just me? lol)
Thankyou to all who have commented so far, and I think I have caught up with commenting myself (?).
I would be very grateful if when I write a piece on my family tree, for any comments regarding whether it is clear as to who's who as I may use these pieces to put with my tree for 'posterity' lol.
Wend, you were one of the ones I was not worried about because you said that before it is no problem. It is those who don't even say a 'received your piece' that get me confused. I don't know if they are still interested. :-)
Rose, you have caught up with mine. And your FH piece was very clear, would look good in your files.
Hi all, can I ask if anyone had problems with the type in my 'Albert'?
Only, Peter has just commented that he did, it seems from his copy that it came out in two colours and with lots of random ’s scattered through it ! Eek! lol I copy and paste from word doc' and it seemed fine when I pasted it to email.
xx
Hi Rose
I had no problems with your 'Albert,' though the type was a tad small to read.
Thanks Mau, I type it in '14' font on word but it goes smaller on email, I suspect that is the case with most as usually I have to copy and paste what people send me, if it's lots of text, on to word to read it as my eyes aren't good.
It was OK for me. I know that sometimes the pieces I send don't arrive in the format I send them e'g' the paragraphs disappear or something. Which is why I sent the FH ones as attachments. I assume that nobody had a problem with that?
Mauatthecoast
Mauatthecoast Report 29 Jan 2012 16:01
Agree Rose, and sometimes I type in 16 for that reason.
I think perhaps it might be a good idea to have others' thoughts on the subject,as I find some difficult to read too.
edit: your FH posts were okay Ann
AnninGlos
AnninGlos Report 29 Jan 2012 16:04
Mauatthecoast
Mauatthecoast Report 29 Jan 2012 16:12
I am happy with attachments, thats how I send out my larger pieces....however I know Dermot had trouble opening mine, tried to help, but still don't know if he has opened or read them. Some sent have been disjointed but readable so thats all that counts..love every bodies work, well that I have seen.
Sorry no more parts for Beach Encounter, haven't got the block.....just trying to keep the mystery going
Do we have a topic for this week? or are we all happily doing our own thing?. I've started something but got a bit lost with it
:-(
edit: memo to self ;-)
"Don't use words too big for the subject. Don't say 'infinitely' when you mean 'very'; otherwise you'll have no word left when you want to talk about something really infinite".
C. S. Lewis (1898 - 1963)
AnninGlos Report 31 Jan 2012 09:01
Rose I don't think anyone has tackled any of these so you may find something here.
A poem with the title ‘After’
A poem with the title ‘Before’
Prose
A travel piece 1000 words ‘I wish I could go back to ???’
This to accustom the writer to discipline themselves to a number of words.
“Never too old”
From the fiction square a scenario.
Characters: A carer and a waiter/waitress
Conflict: making a sacrifice
Weather: drizzle
Setting: car park
Object: a rare book.
Characters: Bus driver and a filing clerk
Conflict: infidelity
Weather: Rain
Setting: deserted beach
Object: A human thigh bone.
Had to C&P from my pc as for the life of me couldn't find it on here anywhere. :-)
