Just had a thought could make a bonfire with um .nearly the 5th november .could stand & watch .with my sparklers in my hand .anybody coming round .bring your own toffee apples .and treacle toffee .taking booking now at @.Drawers .com :-D

Wish my old Nan was alive she made wondeful Stick Jaw (treacle toffee). Never tried eating it herself as she had a full set of faulse gnashers :-D

Used to love cindery honeycomb too! Funny how it made yer teeth ache afterwards. But hey ho, in for a penny, in for a pound!!!

Cinder toffee now you're talking I love the stuff. Sticks in the gaps in my teeth something rotten but YUM !!!!. Not a great lover of fireworks myself unless they are in a really good large display. The last one I went to was fired off in time to music. Absolutely fantastic

Hello you toffee fans x homemade treacle toffee use to love making it & testing it in cold water .to see if it had set .only tiny bits mind you .or there wouldnt be any left for the tray . :-D all the neighbours use to make something .hot potatoes .parkin. toffee apples. potato pie .black peas.when we were young it was really an event bommy night :-) aduts had the fireworks .Happy Days xx enjoy your week end :-)

Most supermarkets have then in right now. That and chocolate apples!!!!!!!
