Ann and Mary,
Thank you for your kind thoughts, they are much appreciated.
I did look up Bristol Hospital and it has had some fantastic results. However the consultant has made it very clear that the outcome may not be what we are hoping for.

I have been keeping myself busy by cleaning everything in sight, and OH has cleaned all the hard areas of the garden and now is sitting in the sun trying to read a book. We have to learn to expect the worst and be thrilled if the outcome is what we pray for.

I have not yet told the family of your kind thoughts, decided to do that latter, they do know that I have a thread with a synopisi of what every has been saying, but feel that right now is not appropriate and I trust that everyone will understand.

Bridget, I am thinking of little ZZzz today and of her parents and of you. Bless her she is in a very good hospital which has wrought miracles in the past (It is the local children's specialist hospital for this area). I wish her well and am hoping for a miracle. What a fighter she has been.

The phone call was from my sister to say that ZZ and her parents are on their way to Bristol Childrens Hospital. I have looked this up on Google and it certainly looks very well thought of and innovative.

I do hope that someone reads this today, I know that everyone is very busy, but your kind thoughts etc are so uplifting. However I know we are all very busy, and people have their worries and concerns.

I am going to sit on the verandah for a short while, contemplate for a short time and think positive thoughts for us all

Good morning to you all and I hope that you are all well.

My sister called me just about 15 minutes ago to say that sadly ZZ is deteriorating and is being transferred to another hospital in Bristol. The Senior Consultant was with the parents early this morning explaining that ZZ is critically I'll and this next move is essential. They are going to take out her stent and then decide what to do next. He also explained that ZZ is only the third child he has treated for the particular infection which is very rare, ( so sorry I cannot recall exactly the name of the infection) and whilst there is always hope & miracles do happen they should also remember that ZZ has already exceeded everyones expectation.

I have to go as the phone is ringing

Just had a call from my sister and ZZ is still in hospital and so far she is likely to remain there for at least another few days.

Sadly we have also had a death in tne family today but that will be on my Daily Diary.

Many thanks for all your prayers, positive thoughts and genuine interest.

Bridget, what an awful situation for your family especially little ZZ's parents and sister, to have their hopes raised and then dashed so quickly.

I hope this little girl can fight back again but if it is all too much for her, I hope you can find strength from the time you have had with her.

My thoughts will be with you all

I spoke to ZZ grandmother, my sister, this morning. Yesterday afternoon ZZs parents were told that they could take her home as the results of the tests, bar one which had not been received, showed promise for a recovery.as you can imagine the family where over joyed.

Two hours after taking her home they received a phone call saying bring ZZ back immediately, due to new results!! So back to the hostpital they all went. ZZ is now critically I'll. Her immediate family are with her in a special suite and no other family or friends can visit........ The cause of her latest problems are not yet finally agreed, she is drinking but not eating, her big sister is being very kind, her parents are simply waiting to see what happens next.

We are trying to be positive, please remember ZZ with positive thoughts, surely we will not see one child pass away and then have to welcome my youngest sons, child in mid February.
