Having been away all week and without Internet contact.

On my return home,I was deeply distressed to hear of the sad news of Deanna's passing.
She was one of my first real contacts in my early days and we enjoyed a bit of banter regarding the " Era " of her name....
as I did with Gaynor regarding the road to Whittlesey, at that time my Monicker was Bob Camera dodger.

Alas another sweet person gone to rest but at least she is out of pain now, My sympathies and respect go out to her friends and family,

Justice. Believe it or not, I saw a star at 4am this morning, the first one I've actually seen in a long time.

Coincidence? I know what I think.

Maybe Deanna passing over where she spent time in her younger days.

I have heard again from a very sad Tony and the funeral will be at Kettering Crematorium on Wednesday at 1.30 pm. At the moment Tony is not sure about floral tributes except close family ones or about donations but he will advise me as soon as he and his Dad have decided how to do things.

He says: My mum thought funeral pageantry was a money making scam that exploited peoples grief and love..."Funerals are for the living" we would all say.

I will talk with Dutch when I know what Tony and Allan want and we will try to get things right for Deanna and the family. Hope that's ok with everyone.

It was so good that Dutch brought forward the delivery date for the flowers we sent in early August to Deanna so she got to see them and hopefully enjoy them even when in such pain at home. With the words Dutch wrote in the accompanying card she will have known we hadn't forgotten her just because she wasn't posting and I hope that cheered her a little.

Liz thank you for the update i will be sending cards out in memory of Deanna to all who help with what ever the family want,and also if anyone would like copy just pm its nice to keep for our dear friend ,i have also wrote my own verse as it comes from the heart not off pc,and once again thank you all who have so far done our Deanna proud

Will anyone be representing all her GR friends at the funeral?

Penny not sure Liz may know ,i think she will add it on her as im waiting to see about the flowers if the family want them

I have said to Liz that as long as I am free I would be happy to represent GR at Deanna's funeral.I only live a couple of miles from the Crematorium so therefore very easy for me.I didn't know Deanna but she obviously was well loved by many here and will be missed terribly.

I think it's nice of Jane to offer to represent us and I had been waiting to hear from her whether she was able to attend on the date we now know. I just wish I was well enough to go there but it's a long drive and not sure I will feel up to it.

I have suggested to Tony that we send a very small posy since they don't want big ostentatious offerings, and send the balance over to him ( or the funeral director) to do with as they wish. Deanna did have one particular charity abroad that she helped every year so maybe it would be that one or I have suggested maybe Cancer Research or Stroke Association.

I will let you know when I hear anymore
