RR took 40 mins and the result?
Don't worry we will send an ammeded calculation as you have informed us your son has left full time education. But you left it a bit late so there is money to pay back
We pay CIS as a business.. every invoice we submit to companies CIS registered has 20% paid straight to HMRC. We get no interest on the money accrued for our tax bill at the end of the following year .
Last year they had over 8k of our money building up over 12 months.
This is money we could have had in the bank and accrued interest on until the payment date..
How much money do HMRC have in their accounts from multi million pound companies forced to pay CIS?

No.

I don't feel any satisfaction whatsoever that hangers on are getting their wrists slapped by a community that is once more chasing shadows.

The orchestratas of this are long gone.

Only the bozo's remain. And I doubt that they are capable of understanding their actions.

Police numbers need to be enlarged .......... and not by cancelling their time off !

It is pointless commiting such deviants to prison .................... when our prisons are so full.

So what will be their repentance ???

Maybe once again ............ when all the harsh words are said and done .......we will return to being English !

Like we always do !

Horrid Henry Report 10 Aug 2011 20:21

Muffy .. it is a darned rebate , but talk to them on the phone ? It's like talking to a chocolate tea pot. Most annoying thing is that we as tax payers are paying for this 'service'
Rant over :-(

I'm saying companies could afford more than the minimum wage if they looked further than their own investments in properties they own (assetts) and with a lot more help from the government and the banks.
Employees are easy to come by at the moment.. shareholders want a return for their investment but at the end of the day a company with a high turnover of staff or no staff will eventually see their profits drop and that will be reflected on their share prices.

lmso...tell me about it !!

Lost track of what i owe them or they owe me ...changes on every phone call !!!

I remember when they changed it over from adjusting your tax code and paying less tax..to the actual tax credits...and we were £70 a month down with our income !!!...did me no favours...however...the small amount we do receive a month in lieu of the adjusted tax rate is about the only thing that keeps the wolf from the door at the mo so I'm going to grab it with both hands !! ..I see it as a monthly rebate as opposed to a gift ...which is what they would have us believe at it's inception x

Horrid Henry Report 10 Aug 2011 20:09

Oh Muffy .. please don't get me started on tax credits :-D :-D
A government dept that works on the basis that the claimants should know all the rules and are responsible if overpayments are made ..as a result they chase overpayments at the end of the year??
Result? £>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> lost because they have already been paid, cost of appeals .. £££££

Am i wrong in thinking that a family surviving on £5.83 an hour would get family tax credits to boost their income up?

Silly Sausage

Silly Sausage Report 10 Aug 2011 19:53

I cant see where you are going with this Kim, are saying that companies can afford to up the £5.83 an hour? Or are you saying you wouldnt work for that. :-S

Horrid Henry

Horrid Henry Report 10 Aug 2011 19:51

£5.83 multiplied by 40 hours does not cover the cost of a family paying ever increasing costs of housing , utility bills , food and that is just the basics .
Prices just keep on rising.. the utility companies publish their profits .. the oil companies publish their profits .. and still they increase prices knowing full well their customers have no choice.
Government hold the increase on PAYE tax but put up employers NI contributions to cover this , result is that employers cannot afford to employ extra staff.
Banks refuse to loan to businesses .. good businesses who could expand , but because of the refusal of the banks to help they cannot employ.

What would work for me is what is the alterative £65.00 aweek JSA or £5.83 an hour to help with the running cost of keeping a roof over heads? I am not a business women I have no idea how to run a company all I know is how to surive and look after my family.

Horrid Henry

Horrid Henry Report 10 Aug 2011 19:38

£5.83 Hayley .. before tax .. then tax on what they buy while a multi million pound company can afford 250 K investment on the properties they already own, but they cannot afford to increase the pay of their work force
That doesn't work for me.. :-S

I haven't as yet seen the or heard of the court appearances of people. Altough I did read someone said no matter what age they will be treated as criminals. Just hope that they aren't taken to Alton Towers as part of their "punishment"
I can't say that I have a feeling of satisfaction about any convicted just a sense of sorrow that a nation which was so good has come to this. I am pleased ofcourse that they are convicting rather than slap on the wrists.

I will say mind it doesn't surprise me that not all are strugglers, just out to gain. Nor does it surprise me that the true thugs are not yet caught.

Silly Sausage

Silly Sausage Report 10 Aug 2011 19:36

Kim have you read the list for the ones that appeared in court today, a school teacher a youth worker and a trainee nurse. to name a few...not your average thugs are they but still thugs all the same.

Horrid Henry

Horrid Henry Report 10 Aug 2011 19:33

Hayley .. who says most of the looters were employed?
Like I say the UK is now in anarchy.. this is just one effect of the government not listening to the people who elected them..
How much will it take before they will listen?
Not everyone will loot or rob .. burning businesses is not the answer but when people are living in cardboard boxes in the UK and our kids come 3rd on the EU poverty level , sending money abroad just does not make sense.

if need be I would be happy to work for £5.83, no matter where you work or what you earn there are always going to be the peoples whos cup is half empty no matter what they are not happy if you put them on a 3day week and paid them 1k a week they would ask why isnt it 2 days and with 1.5K...

I'm sick to death of folk using the cuts as an excuse..I'd be really interested to know what on earth else they suggest we do ? Print more money and end up like Greece?

We have no gold reserves left..thanks Gordon..and our national debt is mind boggling..if we want to keep interest on our International loans low we have to maintain our AAA rating...else we will end up a basket case economy like Greece. So it HAS to be done. No one likes it..no one wants it..but it's a damn sight better than the alternative.

I'm sick of the whinging. We're all struggling...DEAL WITH IT..don't use it as an excuse to behave like a violent thug..cos it doesn't wash with me...I know there are a wealth of folk who disagree with me..and frankly i don't care..it's my opinion and I'm bleedy well sticking with it !

*coughs*...>>>>wanders off for a ciggie feeling a bit better for that>>>
