Well GP due tomorrow - in spite of the huge water loss yesterday, very little today and chest does not feel that much different. So he said if no improvement by Wednesday - hospital.

Am supposed to see consultant Thursday who said if bug not cleared then in for a stay! Heigh ho.

Chris, just read this, sorry to hear that you are not very well. Good luck for tomorrow and hope they will sort you out and that you will soon feel a lot better. Thinking of you.

UPDATE NO 3 - GP been and gone - fluid has gone but infection not. Been hanging around a long time since mid May so ambulance coming this afternoon. Expect to go on drip for 10 days I am told. Keep fingers crossed for me.

I am thinking of you and hope that the infection is treated very soon, the drip is an excellent way of making sure that the antibiotics are constantly in the blood stream at the right level

i hope by now you are in the hospital and drip set up to fight that infection, Chris. Sending lots of positive thoughts that it all gets sorted out very soon now so you can feel a bit better.

Sorry it weekly shop day on Wed so been out since mid morning. Expect I have missed you but still want to say I wish you well and hope its all sorted out and you will be home soon as fit as you can be.

I have just read this Chris, first time on this thread.
I am so sorry you are feeling so low and have COPD and an infection to boot. I do hope the hospital stay will sort you out.

My Mother had COPD and was on Oxygen therapy but that never held her back. Of course she had setbacks but lived laughed and sometimes cried. Your stronger than you can ever imagine..... Maybe not in a physical sense but spiritually you are able to overcome what life throws at you. Stay strong <3 :-) :-D

Longer than 10 days now, I do hope she is ok.
